That's what little girls are made of...

My line of hand-made accessories came to fruition after hopelessly searching for hair clips that suited my young daughter's whimsical tastes.

As it so often goes with kids, my 3-year old was very choosy about what she would wear in her hair - nothing too frilly, bright pops of color and an added dash of attitude. Being handy with a sewing machine and a glue gun, I set to work on some fun and unique toppers right there at my dining room table.

With encouragement from friends and family, I began selling my creations. Soon, there were craft show events, a small homemade website and local boutiques featuring nattybratty accessories. I opened up my shop on Etsy in 2009 and here I am today - the creative process is such a fun and crazy whirlwind that I haven't looked back.

My design interests focus on color, texture and pattern - keeping things simple in form and incorporating current design trends that catch my eye. I work out of my home studio here in sunny southern California - when the house is quiet and the kids are in school. Every day I am amazed at the sense of accomplishment and balance that this little business allows me to feel. I'm one lucky gal ;-)

So, take a look around and I hope you like what you see - drop me a line with any questions or special requests you may have - I would love to hear from you.

Cheers - Heather

Please note that a cancellation of your order must be requested prior to shipment.
Unless otherwise arranged - the average shipping time for orders is usually within 3 business days via USPS 1st-class mail. This includes a USPS tracking number so you can see when your items should arrive. I pride myself on quick shipping times, and do my best to get items out to you ASAP.

If you need your items sooner than the 1st class postage timeframe, contact me and I'll adjust your shipping for Priority Mail, which varies in cost due to size and weight of your order.

REFUNDS CANNOT BE ISSUED for mistakes and delays made by the Post Office. Once your order is processed and delivered to the USPS, I can't be held responsible for lost or delayed items. With your shipment tracking number, you will need to contact USPS directly to file a claim. I go out of my way to ensure timely delivery of orders to the Post Office, so please know that although I do sympathize with lost or delayed items, I simply cannot be accountable for another company's mistake.

I ship all of my packages directly through Etsy, so all legal shipping forms and documents are automatically completed. You will receive a shipping notification as soon as I purchase the postage. Taxes/duties/fees associated with Customs are not included in my shipping price and are the responsibility of the buyer.
Refunds and Exchanges
I hope you like your goodies as much as I love making them for you. However, if you are not satisfied with your purchase, I can provide an exchange or refund for the UNUSED item within the first 7 business days of receiving your purchase, minus shipping costs. Please let me know if you are planning to return your item(s) so I know to be on the lookout from Mr. Postman :-)
Additional policies and FAQs
By purchasing from my shop you acknowledge that you have READ AND AGREE to my shop policies:

CPSIA Regulations
I use supplies only from manufacturers that meet the federal CPSIA requirements for lead testing. My materials are either exempt from testing (not needed) or meet the standard ppm requirements for lead. For certificates on applicable hardware, please feel free to convo me.

HAIR ACCESSORIES: Please note that some of my items may contain small parts (buttons, clips, pearl or rhinestone embellishments and flowers) that may present choking hazards to young children if pulled off or placed in the mouth. NEVER leave a baby or toddler unattended wearing my hair accessories for these reasons.

TEETHING NECKLACES: My fabric and wooden bead teething necklaces are designed specifically for adult use ONLY. While they are beautiful to wear and extremely handy to have with teething babies (chewable and natural) - they are still designed as adult jewelry, and should never be given to a baby or toddler to chew on alone or manipulate without direct adult supervision. These necklaces are NOT toys.

Before you allow your baby to chew on the necklace (and do this of course while you are wearing it, watching your baby and looking fabulous) - check for any pulled stitches or seams, or any chewed holes in the fabric. Baby teeth can be sharp and destructive! Although I've taken great care to sew these necklaces sturdily and with close-seam stitches, all precaution is warranted.

Use the necklaces at your own risk. I cannot be held responsible for any sort of injury or death in the misuse of my products.

CLEANING THE TEETHING NECKLACES: Washing the necklace is simple - you can rinse it with warm water and a bit of dish soap to clean up any stains or dirt - and promptly remove it and hang it up to dry thoroughly. If the wooden beads are left submerged in water, it can lead to mold and/or mildew due to the wood not drying out completely. Simply put, don't submerge your necklace in water, and make it a quick and easy wash at the sink. Do not put your necklace in the washing machine or dryer.

Care for the wooden rings on my Gummy Bunny teething toys is simple and easy, however, please note that if you submerge the rings in water for a period of time, mildew and/or mold can occur since the wood cannot dry out properly. Washing under the faucet for a quick moment is all it takes to get my wooden rings clean. If you notice the surface of the wood is looking chipped, broken or splintered, please discard it immediately. Replacements are easy to find, and I am happy to send another to you for a small fee. Take note that banging the wood on hard surfaces and improper washing (submerging in water) can lead to cracks.

Re-sealing the wood rings isn't necessary, but some prefer the surface coating of beeswax and olive oil to keep the wood looking beautiful and frankly, it helps promote a longer life for the teething toy.

The designs you see at my Etsy shop are unique and protected property of NattBratty.
