Additional policies and FAQs
2-3 wool covers in each size are sufficient for normal daily activities.
Wool does not need to be washed after each use. When damp simply air out as the naturally occurring lanolin takes care of odors. They will need to be washed if soiled.
Wool should be washed in a no-rinse wool wash containing lanolin. Just add a small amount of wool wash to tepid water, wash by hand is recommended but may be put in the washer, gentle cycle. dry flat out of direct sunlight or dry on low heat. i use "finished" wool, meaning the shrink has been taken out so no felting will occur.
Wool absorbs up to three times its weight before feeling damp.
Organic Wool (O-Wool): sheep raised for certified organic wool are treated with strict organic standards that ensure health of the animal, the land they are raised on and the methods in which the wool is processed. from the land to the mill, all steps are certified organic! these sheep are raised on small farms by people who understand the health of the land and animals ensure a more reliable, sustainable resource!
FACTS ABOUT DISPOSABLE DIAPERS (www.realdiaperassociation.org):
Disposable diapers are the third largest single consumer item in landfills, and represent about 4% of solid waste.
The manufacture and use of disposable diapers amounts to 2.3 times more water wasted than cloth.
Over 300 pounds of wood, 50 pounds of petroleum feedstocks and 20 pounds of chlorine are used to produce disposable diapers for one baby EACH YEAR.
