About

Natural Jewellery

I have been making jewellery for the last 15 years. While I enjoy working with a range of materials, I am particularly interested in combining different materials. A lot of the inspiration for my designs comes from nature, and many of my pieces reflect the colors and shapes I see around me. I work out of my workshop in Cornwall, but sell to people all over the world.

I make a lot of wedding bands and encourage people to become involved in designing their own custom rings. There is something enjoyable about making something that means so much to people.

Hello and welcome to my etsy site. All of my work is inspired by the natural world and I hand forge all of my jewellery. Some items are made to order and as such may differ ever so slightly from the picture. However, I see this as a positive- you are getting a unique piece of handcrafted jewellery! I live and work in Falmouth, Cornwall, and am always happy to meet personally (or chat on the phone) with anyone down this way who is interested in discussing commissioned pieces. You can also visit my website (www.tomrichardsonjewellery.co.uk)

Accepted payment methods

Accepts Etsy Gift Cards and Etsy Credits
Payment
You may pay via Paypal or by card using direct payment.
Payment must be received before I post the items bought.

As I make all of my jewellery to order, I'm afraid that I have to charge if any items need resizing. I charge as little as possible for this. If it is possible to resize a piece of jewellery, I make a standard charge of £20 (£40 if the ring includes a stone).
Shipping
I hand-make all of my jewellery in my workshop in Cornwall England, but ship all over the world.

Delivery in the UK is next working day by Royal Mail special delivery. For postage to the US and other regions of the world I use Royal Mail International Signed for. This is a fully insured, tracked and signed for service. please allow 8-10 working days for delivery. If you need the ring faster than this, please let me know and I can let you know about other delivery options. When I dispatch your order I will include a reference number that you can use to track your package during transit. Due to restrictions, delivery to Australia is strictly by international courier.

While importation of jewellery to the US and EU does not currently incur any importation tax, delivery to other countries may incur duties at the point of entry. The responsibility for charges of this nature falls wholly to the buyer.

Care and maintenance

Please note that fine silver is a soft metal, and should be handled and stored with care. The nature of sterling silver is that it may darken slightly with age. You may carefully polish your jewelry with a soft cloth to restore its lustre. The natural oils in your skin keeps your silver shinier the more you wear it!

With rings with set stones, please regularly check the settings for lifting of claws, or if you shake the ring you can sometimes hear movement- if you notice any wear on your ring setting please either contact me, or a local jeweller about getting your piece retipped (for claw settings) or secured (for rub over settings). It is advised that rings with set stones should not be slept in, or worn during activities likely to snag or pull at ring settings.
