Please correct to show five stars on all- quality, shipping and customer service. I am very pleased and look forward to ordering again.

5 out of 5 starsIt was great working with Mark on this item. He gave it that personal touch that makes all the difference. I couldn't be happier with how my Les Paul guitar turned out.

4 out of 5 starsthe hummingbird was very nice but poorly packed. the beak and tip of one wing were bent when it arrived. i was able to bend everything back into place and its not noticeable now but i would advise more bubble wrap or stronger box for shipping such a delicate item. would have given 5 stars but for the damage.
Mark responded on Mar 25, 2022
Up until recently, all my shipments have arrived safely with out damage. However, I have noticed that the US Postal Service has been handling my packages roughly lately. I have now gone to larger, sturdier boxes and extra packing materials to address this emerging issue.

4 out of 5 starsHard to hang on the wall. The position of the hook on the back and screw in the wall show as the whale sits below the screw.
Mark responded on Mar 25, 2022
All my pieces have a wire hanging loop at their balance points, which for humpback whales is at the base of their curved backs. This allows them to be quickly hung with a nail or larger hanging hook

5 out of 5 starsWOW! Talk about exceeding expectations! You won’t see the item I purchased in Marks shop because he custom made it for me. I saw his artwork and was impressed with what he was able to do with salvaged brass and copper, 2 of my favorite metals, so I asked him if he had any garden gnomes. He did not but he asked me to send him a couple pictures and ideas and the finished result is amazing. He even added eyes as a nice touch. This was finished sooner than I expected and I am very happy with the end result. I highly recommend Mark for any of the items in his shop and especially a custom request. Thank you Mark.

5 out of 5 starsStunning work of art! Looking forward to Christmas so I can enjoy seeing the delight when my goose loving hubby opens his special gift. Hubby has cancer so I wanted this Christmas to be a very special one. Thank you for making this possible!

Artist Profile
Mark Noll from Mark Noll Metal Art has been creating this metal art for twelve years and loves to experiment with different designs, tools, and patina finishes. In that time, the fish, marine mammal, bird, dragonfly, butterfly, and guitar pieces have made their way to patrons all over the country and around the world. Cooly, his most famous patron is the legendary rock guitarist Slash. His wife Perla gave him a Les Paul guitar sculpture for their tenth anniversary, and it hangs in his home studio.
Artistic Process
Your metal nature sculpture is made from a sheet of solid copper, brass or aluminum. The metal is repurposed, usually found at a scrap metal yard. Sometimes, I use naturally-aged pieces of copper or brass that were tucked away in a corner somewhere for many years.
First, I draw the rough shape on the metal and cut it out with aviation snips. Chisels, punches, hammers, and mallets bring the form to life. After polishing the surface with ultra-fine steel wool, I etch it with a patina solution or wipe on an antiquing wax.
Finally, the piece is brushed with a clear coat to preserve the colors and finish, and a glass taxidermy eye is added on some pieces. I’m self-taught and use a blend of tools from traditional metalworking, auto body work, and woodworking.
