The Left Side of the Brain Finally Gives Up

The left side of the brain can only take so much abuse - before it's friend the "right side" screams for some attention. After years of this dangerous imbalance - a seed, just an initial thought, merely a dream - blossomed into a new creative outlet in the brain of Kent Hatcher. That was the beginning of "Inspired by Nature (IBN)".
Something clean. Something fresh. Something based upon the beauty of God's handiwork in the natural world - where nature's designs and beauty are second to none.
After making the bold decision to leave his right brain oriented "day job" - Kent started down the path. Beginning with some pretty lame jewelry and birdhouse designs. The IBN business has learned, evolved, survived, and prospered with a current product mix of uniquely designed and created dining tables, ottoman trays, coffee tables, sofa tables, end tables, and more. All the while without losing the focus on the beauty of the natural world.
IBN loves the challenge of creating. Loves engaging customers in the process. Loves creating that heartfelt satisfaction that comes from a hard days work of creating and building. And most of all - the thrill of a job well done.
Kent Hatcher is owner and lead craftsman and is well supported by his helper Beth.

The goal of "Inspired by Nature" is to provide superior customer service. Our sales policies are built from the customer's perspective and are designed to be reasonable and simple.

Returns and exchanges
I gladly accept returns, exchanges, and cancellations

Ship items back within: 21 days of delivery
Request a cancellation within: 24 hours of purchase
The following items can't be returned or exchanged
Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalized orders

Returns and exchange details
1) Refunds ... for standard inventory items (no customization) if there was an error that was our fault (wrong item for example) - then we will refund you the full purchase price and provide a return shipping label or offer you a replacement item. But - you have 14 days from point of receipt to contact us regarding the issue. We will credit your account upon receipt of the undamaged returned product ... to include original purchase price plus original shipping cost.
2) Returns ... for standard inventory items - you have 14 days to contact us to return an undamaged item for a refund of the original purchase price (only) ... the cost of return shipping will be your responsibility – assuming there were no errors on our part. For custom items - they generally are not returnable ... unless there are workmanship or transit damage issues - in which case, you should contact us directly within 14 days to discuss resolution. For transit damage of a custom item – we will have your item repaired at your location by a qualified furniture repair person at our cost.
Payment
1) Payment submission ... we have 2 payment options: (a) in full up front or (b) 50% down payment and 50% upon completion.
2) Order cancellation ... orders can be cancelled within 24 hours of order placement and then up to the point that we begin to build your item or to purchase unique raw materials for your item. If you want to cancel your order - please contact us as soon as possible.
3) Failure to pay balance ... if a client places an order and pays a 50% down payment ... but, then later fails to pay the final balance after the item is complete ... then the client will forfeit their 50% down payment and the item will not be shipped until the final balance is paid.
Shipping
1) Shipment timing ... all of our items are made to order and will ship depending on our quoted lead times. If in doubt - please check in with us.
2) Shipping Geography ... shipping refers to the contiguous 48 United States .. not including Alaska, Hawaii or any International Destination. If you have a question about the shipping rate for your location, please contact us and we will quickly provide you a shipping quote.
3) Expedited shipments ... are available if you will notify us at time of order placement and are willing to pay "expedited" charges.
4) Gifts ... we will ship to the gifted address and can include a handwritten gift note if desired - no charge for this service.
5) Transit damage ... if a standard item is damaged in shipment (not a customized item) - we will expedite a replacement to you, but we will need your help to create a claim against the carrier by providing pictures of the damage / packaging / label, repackaging the item as best you can, and making the item available for pickup by our carrier. Please do not fully unwrap a damaged item, nor throw away the packaging.
