Note from shop owner Winter Note:
The wood shop is on vacation mode for the winter season. It's cold here in the midwest which keeps me from properly working with the finishes. I will reopen in April, please come back to visit then. In the meantime...
I will post any wood items that I have already completed in my other shop 'Nature in Things' along with my other items at www.natureinthings.etsy.com

About

Inspired by nature

This shop is about making beautiful things with my hands and using my visual creativity to bring emphasis to the colors and lines in natural wood. This focus was developed with my art studies in 3-D design. I am able to pursue my work with the loving support of my husband, family and friends. Without them, I would not be here.

My shop involves natural materials for inspiration: driftwood, birch bark, evergreen branches, live edge maple and walnut. Woodworking happens in the garage where the inspiration comes from the wood itself and the tree slab morphs through the sanding and finishing process to reveal beautiful colors and textures.

I take efforts to be environmentally friendly, materials and suppliers are researched and selected with these ideals in mind. When finishing wood, I look for better alternatives for the environment. Shellac is a natural ingredient and is my preferred option for the wood finish to bring out all the grain and colors. My Mission:
Do what I love, follow that which inspires me and comes from my heart, and share it with others who are drawn to the beauty of nature.

My Core Values:
Share happiness and inspiration with others. Maintain honesty and integrity in work and play. And help to sustain the world around me.

Frequently asked questions
Custom and personalized orders

Presently, I am not accepting custom requests due to schedule overload. But may fill a request with an order if it is within my capabilities and policies.

Sizing details

Due to the nature of natural materials, finished sizes may be irregular as with live edge wood. Height of furniture can be customized but exact size will depend on the type of legs requested.

Care instructions

Most of our wood products have a natural shellac finish. This will require protection from water, and the use of coasters on tables are recommended. Spills should be wiped up quickly to avoid water marks. A soft dry cloth or duster is best for this furniture. A damp cloth can be used if needed but should be wiped dry right away. A polyurethane finish is used on bar tables for more durability, and may be requested on other tables.

Shipping and Returns

Ready made items will ship out within 2-3 days. Custom orders will require more time and can take from 1 to 4 weeks to complete depending on the item.

Returns that are accepted according to the policies must be returned in original package in original condition. Returned items will incur a 15% restocking fee and all shipping costs are the responsibility of the customers.

Shipping companies are responsible for damages incurred during delivery. Check your package for damage on delivery while the shipper is present before signing off, and contact me or Etsy for further instructions. These steps will help with an efficient refund process.
