About

I grew up wandering the woods, reading National Geographic and I always had a sketchbook in hand.

I’ve been drawing and thinking up imaginary worlds since my childhood in the suburbs of Maryland. Since those formative years I’ve lived in the southern burbs, moved abroad to London, England (later the Dorset coast), and now call rural Georgia home.

My imagination is fed by my love of nature, myth and the fantastic. Everything I see and experience in my everyday life has the potential to become more, to become a new story. Storytelling is a powerful tool. Stories have long shaped our cultural identities and our relationship to one another. Our connection to the earth and the creation of guardians and myths intrigues me. The focus of my current work reflects a time when we still had this connection, bridging past and present.

When I’m not creating you might find me wandering the woods or fields, taking photographs of very tiny wildflowers.
