In our small studio my companion Kitty Iriska and I are inventing and creating handmade pottery. Moreover Kitty Iriska is a quality inspector of these pottery masterpieces.

Basically we create different kind of kitchenware and all sorts of other small things, but still our most favorite activity is to model and style jewelry. This is quite a meticulous and time-consuming process but at the end it is really worth it.
In the very beginning I think up of a story. Out of the blue, the heroes of the story start to appear unexpectedly, without warning or preparation and I begin to think of them – who they are and what they enjoy doing. Once the fairy-tale is ready, I reward myself for the good work by making a cup of my favorite herbal tea. After that I call Iriska and start telling her this exciting new story. Kitty curls up into a ball and starts purring loudly while I am telling her the story. We begin the next day together by doing lots of sketches on tracing paper, cutting drafts and choosing right colors. This stage of work is the most sensational and tremulous and as soon as it is over we proceed with pottery modeling. Modeling process feels like doing meditation. The pottery clay fully absorbs my thoughts, ingests my feelings and at this specific point in time I forget about everything around.

Kitty Iriska and I are falling over our fairy-tale heroes very deeply. This motivates us in making them alive in order to live their own lives after being created in our studio.We would really like to share our “pieces of magic” with you. Existing variety of masterpieces such as pottery birds and dream-keepers will expand in the nearest future by handmade postcards and textile works.
