Temporary Tattoos ~ Original Designs ~ Inspired By Nature

NatureTats got its start in 2016, by Allison Wilcoxen, with the idea of sharing her tattoo designs with people who want to ink their skin, take it off and then start again! The dark, earthy style and inspiration for the designs is influenced by Austins evolving art, tattoo, and creative culture, along with Allison's personal adventures within nature.

“I consider myself to be an art nerd and a nature nerd. I love drawing the things I find in nature, plus I’d really like to be covered in nature tattoos. I am also not entirely sure yet if I want to go with a moth or a cicada just above my knee.. or a rabbit skull with cactus, or flowers... you see? Temporary tattoos are a way for me, and others to test placement and similar designs, and to really visualize before committing to the real deal. Also, just simply decorating yourself is just fun!"

NatureTats' focus for 2019 is to continue to improve our design collections by making new awesome temporary tattoos, and making sure to keep the most loved designs. A little sneak peak - keep an eye open for a bloom in our floral design section! Follow along on Facebook and Instagram for those updates!

As always, we want your buying and wearing experience to be the most awesome, so we're considering all of your feedback as we continue to improve the products and packaging. Your feedback is essential, so please share your questions and suggestions with us, we'd love to hear from you!

    Owner, Designer, Photographer

Creative nature nerd and Austinite. Fascinated by everything in nature from lush green plants to wild animals and intriguing insects. Endlessly inspired while exploring in nature. It's marvelous how beautiful our world is right in our own backyards.

Napping and keeping the big dogs in line is what I am great at. I like to lead the pack when we go on hiking adventures, and never pass on the chance to roll in the dirt whenever the opportunity presents itself.

Frequently asked questions
How long will my tattoo last?

On average, our temporary tattoos last 1-3 days. That time can be extended by following our tips listed below -

Wear It Longer - Can my tattoo get wet?

They're water-resistant - meaning they will not come off with water alone! So take that needed shower or go for a swim! Just avoid touching your tattoo while it's wet.

Pro-tip - Gently apply lotion to your tat within 5-10 minutes of application. After you take a shower, allow it to dry for about 5 minutes, then reapply lotion.

Best Tips For Applying Your NatureTat

• Clean and fully dry your skin, where the tattoo will be placed.
• The tattoos work best in areas with little or no hair.
• Peel the clear plastic cover off of the front of the tattoo.
• Place the tattoo, image facing skin, and gently press the tattoo to stick to the skin.
• Hold a damp cloth against the back of the whole tattoo for 60 seconds.
• The entire backside of the white tattoo paper should appear to have absorbed water evenly.
• Peel away the white tattoo paper slowly.
• Allow to air dry for about 5 minutes, then apply a layer of lotion to reduce stickiness.
• Enjoy your awesome temporary tattoo!

Remove The Tattoo

• Soak the area in warm water for a few minutes while in a hot shower or bath, or use a warm wet towel.
• Pat the area dry with a towel, then apply a tiny amount of oil to the tattoo. (coconut oil works great).
• Rub the tattoo vigorously with your finger tips or a cloth.
• Once the tattoo is no longer on your skin, use soap to remove the oil and remaining tattoo bits.
• Viola! A clean canvas!
