Come with me on a journey of creativity, growth and home made happiness!
When I paint, I am thinking about the slowness required to give every tiny brush stroke the attention it requires. I am thinking about the things I've seen at a gallery, about other artists, about things I grow and pick in my garden, and I think about life.
It's the growing of things that interests me. The growing of plants and people. The growth of hope, of happiness, and beauty.
I am a mum, an artist, and a gardener. My paper is made from things grown in the ground, and my artwork is inspired by all the hands involved in making it in a traditional way, and the fibres you can still see floating amongst the brushstrokes. I am also inspired by traditional crafts from all around the world, the people who make things the 'old way', slowly, carefully, locally.
I care about my papers and products being made ethically and sustainably. After working in the corporate design world I aim to slow down the creative process. I want to invite people into the world of creative, hand made, ethical production and sustainable practises.
I make all of my products in my home studio, with beautiful high quality papers, and the forest sleeping outside my window. My cards and prints are archival, meaning they are designed to be treasured, not simply discarded like many other things in our fast paced world.
I encourage people to write meaningful messages, written to be re read in the years to come, reminding their loved ones of special moments in time. Encouraging connections with other people, with our environment, and with beautiful things.
I am constantly inspired by the encouragement from my customers, and am grateful for the platform provided by Etsy to allow creative people from all around the world to share their lovingly made creations.
Thank you for visiting my shop, please drop into my website where you can see details of my artwork, sign up to my mailing list and follow the links to my Facebook and Pinterest sites. If you were just around the corner I'd invite you in for a cup of tea!
