NBD Cosmetics sells natural personal use products and is therefore unable to refund or exchange any item once it has been shipped. We make every effort to provide the information you need to make an informed purchase on our product pages. Please read them carefully before making your purchase. If we err and send the wrong order consider that our free gift and we will re- ship the correct order at our expense. Refunds are not given for custom orders.

NBD Cosmetics currently accepts paypal payments and credit card payments. Payment is expected at time of purchase. Buyers may cancel an order as long as the item has not been marked as shipped. Sorry, modifications to an existing order can not be made.
On occasion we offer discounts codes for items in the shop. These discount codes are for the specified time period and can not be retroactively applied; This also applies to purchases where the intention was to use the code in the correct time frame but was forgotten. This helps to keep our prices competitive and insures you get to continue to enjoy your body and hair care treat from NBD.

Shipping costs are NOT included in the price of any product. Current shipping methods include USPS Priority Flate Rate Shipping, USPS Priority Mail or First Class, whichever is cheaper. If for whatever reason you need your items faster, you may choose USPS Priority for select items for an extra fee. Please be aware that there is a standard $2 shipping and handling fee added to all items with a weight of 8 oz or greater. NBD Cosmetics will ship to Canada first class international mail. Priority mail is available but is very expensive. Discounts on this shipping will not be offered. Persons wishing to purchase items from other countries should convo NBD Cosmetics to work out any details. We suggest that you purchase insurance for international orders. PLEASE NOTE: CUSTOM CHARGES, TARIFFS AND VAT ARE THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE BUYER. Packages will arrive in a flat rate USPS priority box/envelope unless special arrangements are required. Paid orders are shipped 5-7 days EST after receiving your order, sometimes sooner. Shipping days are Monday thru Friday excluding holidays wherein we will not process your order the day before nor the day after a holiday. Shipping time frames will push the mark of 7 days business days during the busy holiday season and during periods where the volume of orders is considered to be large. You will be notified within 2 days of your order if may need extended time for processing. Please make sure your address is correct when making your purchase. Items that are returned as unclaimed or misdelivered BECAUSE the address given is incorrect will be refunded minus the shipping. You may choose to repurchase the item at that time. Items that are returned unclaimed even when given the correct address will also be refunded the purchase price of the product minus shipping. We will make attempts to contact you when USPS gives us notice that an address can not be confirmed.

If there is a problem with your order please contact us within 1 week of the delivery date. International orders have 3 weeks of the SHIP date to contact us.

NBD Cosmetics does not require a buyer to pay for extra shipping if the shipping costs are actually MORE than the quoted shipping in the listing. NBD Cosmetics does not refund shipping overages unless otherwise noted in an individual listing OR as part of a promotion. We attempt to keep shipping rates stable by charging an average shipping rate per weight of item. Overages go back into all handling costs including all shipping materials and fuel charges. Shipping is a separate charge and is not figured into the cost of the individual product.

All products are for external use only. These products are naturally designed and may show variations from container to container. If a product seperates, gently mix and continue to use as you normally would. Please read all product ingredients carefully and do not use if you are allergic to any component. We will not be held responsible for misuse of any products. It is the customer's responisibilty to eduacate themselves about the properties of essentials oil used in our products.

Alchemy and custom orders are welcomed. All Alchemy and custom orders must give a detailed description of the desired product, the expected outcome and any allergies. If we find it difficult to design a product tailored to your needs, you will be notified within 2 weeks. We may also contact you to get more detailed information to fine tune a product. After a custom order has been completed you will receive a convo that the item is ready to be listed and your price quote. In making a custom order the intitial listing will be 20- 30% discounted for your purchase. After the first purchase, regular price will be enforced unless being offered for sale or giveaway by the shop. In addition, you agree that by making the custom order NBD Cosmetics has control over the intellectual property and may offer it for sale to other interested parties.

FAQ

Q: What does the statement “do not use during pregnancy” mean? Aren’t your products natural?
A: Natural does not necessarily mean safe especially for the pregnant woman. This statement is used when an essential oil or groups of essential oils is more than 2% of the total weight or volume (Indulgence= 3.5%). Research has shown that certain essential oils should not be used during pregnancy, though no documentation exists of adverse effects resulting from their use.

Q: Why do you use preservatives in a natural product?
A: Some ingredients spoil very quickly and without the preservative you would not be able to enjoy your body care treat for very long. So a very small amount of preservative (always 1% or less) is added to ensure it has not grown mold or bacteria before you finish using it.

Q: What about fragrance?
A: Our fragrances are purchased from a reputable supplier that blends essential oils together to make a fragrance. These fragrances are proprietary and as such they do not have to list more that the term fragrance or essential oil for their ingredient list.

Q: How are your products tested?
A: The products are tested on volunteers who suffer from the complaint that the product is designed to correct. The volunteers are asked their honest opinion about the product and reformulations are considered based on feedback. The product is retested until an exceptional product is created.

Q: Can I use your hair care products on my relaxed/ chemical treated/ colored hair?
A: These products were created to help your hair no matter what state it is in (natural/ relaxed/colored). The goal is to promote healthy hair that is soft and manageable.

Q: Are your products hypoallergenic?
A: It is always advisable to perform a patch test when using any product. Apply a small amount of the product to an exposed area of skin. If itching and redness occur, rinse it off immediately and discontinue use of the product. If you have sensitive skin or are prone to allergies, please read the label before making a purchase.

Q: What makes you the “expert”?
A: We don’t consider ourselves experts. This journey started out with a problem and investigative work trying to fix that problem. What we do is research and test natural formulations to achieve goals that people are not seeing with other products, natural or commercial. The process is driven by the scientific method and knowledge gleaned from professionals in the field (hairstylists, dermatologists, herbalists and general medical providers). The end result is a product that offers you the “difference” you have been looking for.
