About

Neena Creates.... For the Hopeless Romantic ❤

My craft story begins with finding a tutorial on how to screen print. I stumbled on a very homemade process and although it was time consuming, I fell in love with it! Let me give props to Craftgrrl for posting this- https://bitly.com/KsII5r
Here's my quick version:

♢ After I sketch out my design I'll trace it onto my homemade screen.
♢ Next I use a non water-soluble glue to cover the negative space (the area I don't want the ink to go through).
♢ Once my screen has dried I use a stencil brush to print onto a t-shirt, tank, scarf, etc.

Using this printing technique to apply the ink provides different results, sometimes not always perfect, however I personally like some imperfections so that it shows it was made by me. I do have a few traditional silk screens that I use but I find that I have found my voice through this style of printing.

Ultimately I hope to inspire love, romance, peace, honesty, creativity and confidence that all lies within ❤ Penelope

I love to read, go on my walks, listen to music, go to the movies, girls’ night, date night, have tea, have dessert (I confess I love to eat!), creating, sleep, laugh, daydream, and love.
