I'm a proud grand-ma.

My youngest son's daughter is such a wonderfull sight to behold. The baby I once held now has a baby of his own for me to hold and I am so terribly gratefull for that. She is one of the special children who will always be happy and content. She'll be slower to do many things than other children her age and she'll be vulnerable because of that. She may also need medical attention throughout her life because of the physical manifestations of the Williams Syndrome she was born with. As an adult she may never be able to support herself.
While I have faith in her and in those nearest to her to help her be the best she can be, the proceeds of this shop will go into a fund for her future needs whether it be for surgeries to prolong her life or for her future expenses to ensure that she lives comfortably. It's the least I can do for such a sweet little girl.
I've been making glass beads for 15 years but had stopped for a while to do other things that were necessary in my life (but not nearly as pleasurable). Katie's future is an excellent incentive to get back to the torch. In trying to make her future better, she is making my present better. Grandchildren are a gift in so many ways!

This Katie. She's my grand-daughter and she's got William's Syndrome. Proceeds of this shop are for her future needs.

I love melting glass and molding it into little pieces of wearable art. If I could spend every hour of the day at the torch I would, but when I do that other things suffer. I hope you find something you like.
