Announcement   Tiny things are just fascinating, aren't they? Science is full of wonderful, weird, useful, and otherwise awesome tiny things, like atoms and bacteria. I like to give a face to these factoids by making (comparatively far less) tiny periodic table atom charms, symbol penguins, and knitted bacteria. And tiny things are also just really cute :)My nerdy, quirky mascots are full of character and would make the perfect gift for that college student, scientist, or teacher who seems to have everything. But hey, why not snag some of the cuteness for yourself?

Everything here is ready made and ships out within 3 business days. All of my orders are wrapped in tissue paper and include a handmade card featuring some artwork by yours truly (samples of which I will put up here for sale...someday!)

About

science + cuteness + fun + fiber + energy = Nerdycraftgirl's Handmades

I dreamed of owning an Etsy shop for a year before my parents surprised me with this one for my 13th birthday (thanks Mom + Dad!!!). It just happened that my interest in science and my interest in needle felting and knitting got started at about the same time. I made needle felted particles to help myself understand concepts in a cute way, and I am now sharing my work with the world.

First it was elementary particles: protons, neutrons, electrons. Now I've expanded into quarks, elements, bacteria, math symbol penguins, and atomy apparel. I hope to make science fun and accessible for everyone with my quirky and cute charms. My long term goals include needle felting the entire periodic table and expanding into other realms of geekdom (physics, math, fantasy and sci fi, gamer geekery, computer science, iambic pentameter...).
