About

For the love of paper.

I am an interdisciplinary artist and book & manuscript conservation technician living in Philadelphia. My artwork is often fiber-based, from paper-making to embroidery to book arts.

In 2009 I took a sculptural papermaking class at Penland School of Arts and Crafts which would alter the course of my artwork forever (thank you, Helen Hiebert!). In this class I was able to delve into the magical qualities of my chosen paper fiber, abaca, a material that often defies categorization. This paper is translucent and delicate in its beauty, and yet it is strong enough for sculpture.

The jewelry pieces I create are small-scale representations of my large-scale sculpture works, creating a symbiotic relationship. My sculpture inspires my jewelry, and my jewelry inspires my sculpture.

I love paper, I love to make this jewelry, and I believe that love is apparent in each unique piece. The materiality and strength of my one-of-a-kind pieces will surprise you.

Please contact me with any questions or interest. I would love to create a custom piece for you!
