About NewAcademyPress

Adventures in Printmaking. Handmade in PA.

New Academy Press is a group of artists working out of Pittsburgh, PA. We combine multi-disciplinary backgrounds, interests in science and nature, regard for the scientific explorer, and an affinity for working with our hands to make intricately crafted objects.

Meeting during undergraduate studies we began collaborating on projects together with the culmination of our efforts being realized in a printmaking installation titled "Growth" at Edinboro University.

After graduating we reconnected in Pittsburgh to officially form the collaborative New Academy Press. Printing out of our living room, our studio and the scope of our work has steadily expanded, and we continue to work toward our goal of becoming full-time printmakers and artists.

We make original and handmade pieces conceived and fabricated by us from the ground up. We draw, cut, saw, sand, paint, print, and pull our own images and designs on quality materials. Be it reclaiming glass and wood for our shadow boxes or using 100% recycled papers from French Paper Company, we strive to make our products responsibly.

Any questions, comments, or salutations are welcomed through Etsy or any other mode of communication.

While receiving my BFA in Photography from Edinboro University I was exposed to the world of printmaking and have since focused my time and efforts into exploring various disciplines within.

I love to manipulate materials. Whether I'm working with paper, wood, steel, or soil I'm always trying to make something beautiful.
