5 out of 5 starsThese pillows turned out to be adorable. My daughter who just turned 30 is an avid Tinkerbell fan. I gave her the larger pillows and gave my 3 year old grandson the pocket pal Tinkerbell. He carries her around all the time and sleeps with her in his bed.

About NewEnglandQuilter
My Story ...
I've lived in New England all of my life, I grew up in Maine and now have a home in New Hampshire. I was always working on craft projects growing up. My cousin taught me how to knit and my grandmother taught me to crochet. When I was in high school, I wanted to make my own hair scrunchies, so my mother taught me how to use her sewing machine. I loved sewing fabric! After college, in the mid 1990's I was a civil engineer for a few years, and I was away from home working at a new drawbridge site in Portland, Maine. I decided that I needed a hobby to occupy my time as I was spending nights away from home in a hotel. There was a JoAnn Fabrics store nearby and I wandered in one night. I found a beginners book on quilting with a sampler quilt to make, and that is how I got started quilting. Since I was on the road, I hand pieced the patchwork and hand quilted a floral motif. I loved seeing the pieces of fabric evolve into a quilt.
So, when I opened my Etsy shop, I wanted a shop name that told shoppers a little about myself. I have always lived in New England, and I love to quilt. Looking at my shop, you may not think that I still quilt much. Somehow, my family members always seem to end up with my quilts! Like many other crafters, my creativity spans way beyond one interest. I have many crafting hobbies that I love, such as: sewing, fabric coiling, embroidery, knitting, spinning, crocheting, needle felting, making ornaments & decor. There are many more crafts that I would like to try as well. Some day I would love to try painting with water colors, create some of my own jewelry, or work with polymer clay. We'll see...
For now, I spend the majority of my time with my husband and two little munchkins, ages 4 & 8. They keep me very busy and make my life full of love and happiness.
