Note from shop owner Hi! Thanks for stopping by! I'm glad you're here, but we are on vacation right now as we move all of our stock to Shmoocon in Washington DC. If anything is left, we will post it here. If not, we will wait for another order from our friends in Uganda.

Welcome to the Ngozi Creations Etsy store. Our mission is to provide job skills and sustainable wages for the impoverished residents of Uganda, East Africa.

In September of 2012, we started a fledgling leather project to help fire victims in a local village gain skills and find employment. After quite a few fits and starts, we revamped the program and began anew. Now, our training program is supporting sixteen Ugandans full-time. Twelve of our craftsmen work in their home villages, and four work in our workshop in an intensive training program.

Shipping
The vast majority of our products have traditionally been sold only in Uganda and at various security conferences in the U.S. Because of cost-prohibitive shipping costs we have had limited means of shipping individual orders to customers in the United States… until now. We are bringing our stock to the US so we can sell them on Etsy and raise more money for our craftsmen than we can in Uganda. (Tourists tend to be stingy and want to barter on prices, despite the fact that they were priced at nickels on the dollar in Uganda).

Orders will be processed within 3-5 business days and shipped via USPS Priority Mail.
