Aunt Bea's Apiary

While I certainly love making banners and it helps me put food on the table, my true calling is my non-profit organization "Aunt Bea's Apiary". My husband and I started working with bees in the fall of 2013. Although we had no beekeeping experience, we wanted to do something good for the environment. We plunged full steam ahead and purchased a small hobby farm, beekeeping supplies, and expanded our gardening endeavors. Working closely with nature has had a profound impact on us. We are seeing the Earth with a new set of eyes.
Our planet is facing a pretty long list of challenges including pollution, global warming, water contamination, drought and of course, the staggering loss of our world’s pollinators. It is with great love and intent to make the world a better place that we have formed the non-profit organization “Aunt Bea’s Apiary” to serve southeast Nebraska.
On our farm, we have created an educational center for hosting field trips, community groups, and families who wish to learn more about how they can help the environment. Through these endeavors, we hope people will come to love and appreciate these fascinating insects as much as we do. Bees truly are an integral part of our food system and the survival of the human population.

Greetings! All items in my shop are made upon order. Pennants are hand cut and sewn to jute twine. No adhesive is used. Paints and fabric are of the hightest quality. I am very detail oriented and great care is taken to ensure that all items leaving my shop meet my high standards.

We do not refund for lost/unclaimed/undeliverable packages. We are not responsible for any duty charges you may incur. We do not refund postage for unclaimed or undeliverable packages. If a package is returned as undeliverable/unclaimed, it is the customers responsibility to follow up with the postal carrier. N. In my experience, USPS does a great job getting your package to you in a timely manner. However, once in a great while packages are delayed or lost. N. Hayes Designs in not responsible for your package once it is in the hands of the postal service. N. Hayes Designs does not guarantee any arrival date for packages addressed to foreign countries due to the length of time items can be held in customs. Refunds will not be issued in the event of an error made by the US postal service.
Additional policies and FAQs
Burlap is a raw material that is fragile, and is NOT machine washable. The natural raw edges of the banners are meant to be ragged. Pulling on the loose jute can damage the banner. Trim them if they bother you, but do not pull on them. Handmade items may have variances in color or finish, which build upon the character of the piece. You can iron out wrinkles by placing iron on reverse side (pennants facing down). Be careful to make sure iron is NOT placed over paint, glitter or lace as this might damage it.

Feedback is very important to a seller, as it lets potential buyers know what kind of service to expect.
