I ordered this on behalf of my mom for my dad, so I haven't seen it yet in person, but my mom exclaimed "Oh, it's just beautiful!" And, funny story, my mom ordered it so my dad would stop using the pasta server as a back scratcher. I knew this would be a classier solution!

Welcome to my shop. I enjoy making useful items from wood that is going to be discarded or burned. I start with a recycled piece of wood and design the size & shape, based on the grain pattern and thickness. Once I have decided on the design I rough cut it on my band-saw. I use different styles of grinding & sanding tools to define the shape further. I will continue to sand the piece by hand, wetting it down between each stage of sanding with finer and finer grits until it is as soft & smooth as possible.
Each NH Woodthing is finished & protected with my own Wood Conditioner. This is a combination of organic oils and beeswax to further enhance the beauty of the wood.

Wood is a natural material that is subject to heat and moisture conditions. Under normal wear and tear, your NH Woodthing should last for years to come.
