Wonderful pattern! Great instructions and well drafted. I made long ears to turn it from a bear to a bunny and that worked well too. :)

Loved this pattern! I’ve made three of them. They’re so cute and the pattern is really well done.

Made with love. Meant to last.

My mother taught me to sew when I was small making clothes for my many dolls. I loved creating special things for them to wear although for a long time my contribution to the sewing process involved only the picking out of fabrics and the cutting of patterns with the odd strait seam sewn here and there. Having learned to sew my own clothes as an adult I returned to doll sewing when a good friend was expecting a baby girl. The simple doll I made is still affectionately know to her owner as "Dolly" now many years later....

Soft toys can quickly become special friends, if not life-long companions. My goal is always to create something beautiful that will stand the test of time both in design and durability. All of my dolls and soft toys are sewn on my beloved 1892 Wheeler & Wilson sewing machine and finished by hand with either painted or embroidered faces. I love working with natural materials like wool, linen, cotton, and silk, sourcing a lot of my fabrics and notions from vintage and second-use sources. I often leave the hem edges minimally finished so that the raw edges will fray a bit with time and love.

Welcome to Lakeside Needleworks! I make dolls and other little bits in my lakeside home and studio. Each doll is hand embroidered or painted and sewn up on my beloved Wheeler & Wilson sewing machine made in 1892. Lots of vintage fabrics and notions are used in the creation of my dolls. I love all of the the imperfections and special characteristics of working with previously owned materials. And with that in mind I test all of my vintage materials for durability before using them in the construction of one of my items. A doll can be a part of a child's life long after it ceases to be played with. It is those lifelong friendships that inspire my work and I strive to create things that are both beautiful and lasting.
