About

I dream of sewing colorful and comfortable creations!

I began sewing after high school while living in Philadelphia. It quickly became an obsession and manifested itself into a business. I left Philadelphia for greener pastures, and am now residing in the lovely city of Burlington, Vermont. I love it to pieces. I am lucky enough to have a studio in the South End near Lake Champlain. I create colorful garments & accessories using vintage and sustainable materials!

I love my job! I get to sew, sew, sew all day, with my goofy dog by my side. My handmade business has become my full-time job so thank you for looking around and supporting!

Without you, I couldn't have this awesome life that I am so very grateful for. I so appreciate each and every one of your purchases. To find out more, please check out my quit your day job interview here: http://www.etsy.com/blog/en/2011/quit-your-day-job-nicole-carey/?ref=fp_blog_title

Payment

Shipping
I mail items out a few times a week. If you need your item rushed please let me know beforehand.
Refunds and Exchanges
All items are mailed first class with delivery confirmation. If you'd like to further insure your package, please contact me as there will be an additional fee.

**for unaltereted ready made items:
Ready made items can be exchanged if you contact me within 14 days of receiving your garment. This item must be returned in the condition it was mailed out in, with no cigarette smell.
For ready made clothing items: I am happy to do alterations free of charge but there may be an additional shipping fee. All items are exchangeable if you contact me within 10 days of the post marked date in the same condition it was mailed out in. Item must be received back within 20 days of the post marked date (more time allowance is flexible for international customers). I strongly encourage exchanges. If a refund is issued there is a 15% restocking fee and shipping fees are nonrefundable. I try my best to provide accurate measurements in each and every listing. If you are unsure of your size, please message me for help on measurement & sizing. Thanks for understanding.

**for custom garments or altereted designs:

While I am more than happy to create a custom garment for you, you MUST provide me with accurate measurements. If you are unsure of where to measure, please message me. Otherwise, if you send only your size I will make it to my standard chart. I can always shorten or take garments in but it is impossible to make them bigger without creating a new garment and I cannot create two garments for the price of one.
With all of this being said, I can not take returns on custom or altered designs. I will, however, do alterations free of charge but have to charge shipping. Last but not least, I am human and make mistakes and if the error falls on my craftsmanship I will absolutely make it right without charging you shipping.

Please keep in mind that exact measurements will provide you with the best fitting garment but sometimes tweaks need to be made, as everyone comes in different shapes and sizes.

In the event that the item is too small and an alteration cannot be made, please contact me and we'll take it from there

All jewelry is non-refundable.

Any other questions? Just ask! =)
