Thank you Vonnie, you were a dream to work with and I'm so glad I had another vintage vase just the same as the one you ordered! That was lucky. I wanted to reach out and publish a note for you and all prospective customers that I invested in professional boxes and packing materials for my pots this summer to avoid having any issues like we had with yours. Future customers can rest assured that even though shipping breakables is inherently risky my shipments have skookum packaging and will arrive in one piece going forward despite the rough ride they may get from the postal service. 2022 - Pottery and Pillows are my Superpowers
My Etsy shop started with pillows for my interior design clients. Over the last few years the interior design world became one of the busiest sectors as many people were spending so much time at home. Despite there being lots of work.... I was struggling because just like all buesinessses there have been supply chain issues and delays at every turn.
Sooo, when I could no longer reliably order the products I used to buy from my vendors ...I switched gears to sourcing whatever I could from local and small scale businesses. Many of my design projects required rustic pottery and global textiles so I turned to Etsy for fabrics from India and Thailand buying the stock directly from the weavers. Similarly, I visited thrift stores, garage sales and vintage markets for pottery pieces that had the shapes I was looking for. Then I got busy developing a formula of plasters, paints and wax to create some truly unique pottery transformations.
The next phase of my upcycling journey in pottery is lamps. Big Beautiful Lamps! It will be great to know if my Etsy customers respond to the lamps as well as they have to the vases!!
