I make multi glazed one of a kind pottery pieces in a variety of shapes and sizes..especially hearts and crosses. I also create natural gem jewelry..so far earrings and necklaces...and added Czech glass jewelry as I loved some of the unique hand made tile pieces I found. I sometimes use findings from Israel. My work is very international, which I like.

I was born and raised along the coast of CA. I have been an artist since I was about 4. My mom would give me pieces of paper to draw on to keep me quiet while I sat next to her at church. I am from a big family, raised by my mom. I am the 6th of 7 children, the worst place to be. Growing up in a rather hectic environment in LA, I loved going into that quiet alone time at home or at school, where I would create and express myself. I always loved the compliments I received and the few minutes of attention from my mom when I showed her something new I drew.

I was put in charge of a city/country mural in kindergarten and chosen to be the teacher for the day in my art class in junior high. I took one pottery class in high school and always wanted to do it again but it took many years before I worked with clay a 2nd time and now I love it so much!!
I had art classes all through elementary school, which I loved. I was an Art Major in junior high and high school. I took more art classes at Santa Monica City College, WLA Junior College and Cal Sate University Long Beach, as well as Alan Hancock College in Santa Maria while raising my children. I am a single mother of 3 and I would paint at night while my children were sleeping, the only time I had to myself without interruptions.

I lived on Oahu, Hawaii for about 6 yrs in my 20's and enjoyed the lush colors in their flowers and foliage, not to mention the beautiful ocean! Very peaceful place for my soul. I have several sketches I did of Princess Kaiulani during that time. When I left the Island I took with me the LOVE of color!

I paint my originals with aqua media (all water based products) on thick watercolor paper from Italy, with vibrant watercolors from Russia and acrylics from France and England. I also paint on natural cotton duck stretched canvas with acid free sizing.

I started making my own frames and selling my prints about 20 years ago. My Giclee's are made on canvas by an award winning company, after original being scanned with the largest flat bed scanner in the world. They have a UV protective coating on top. The end product looks just like the original and you can still see the texture.

I have shown and sold my work in a variety of places all along the California Coast, from Santa Barbara to Sacramento. I have also taught art classes in quite a few locations and enjoy teaching children very much.

Over 8 years ago I was in a serious auto accident, young man in truck ran stop sign. Now I have pain I did not have in earlier years. Being creative is a great distraction and makes my mind focus and concentrate elsewhere. When I am hand shaping clay into a platter and adding glazes it takes me out of my pain. When I am painting, or creating my jewelry with beautiful nuggets and crystals, it is peaceful, brings inner joy and excitement which is healing for my soul.

I have always loved hearts and have a small collection of them around my home. Because while growing up I felt unloved, it is important to me to have meaningful relationships. It makes me happy to spread love around and make someone smile. So I began creating my colorful "Love Hearts" which have been well received by others, brings a smile to people's faces and originals on canvas have sold quickly. Along with my other originals, I have made them into note cards, small limited edition prints which I call my "Babies" and larger size, as well as Giclee's on canvas. I have many choices to choose from depending on how much you want to spend.

I have created Art Bags and Art Tee's which can be made with any of my art on them for a very unique and colorful wardrobe item.

I have raised pet chickens for 20 years and have created art with my cat Rainbow and chickens..called my Rainbow Series. Each has a hidden Bible verse. These have been very popular.
