Note from shop owner I am moving! So the computer and printer are getting packed up and can't process anything. But never fear! I am still creating art, and hopefully I will be settled in the new house, in a new state, by August 7th. In the mean time follow the blog for more artwork and encouragement at www.nicplynel.com. Christ's peace everyone!

About

A Ministry of Artwork

Welcome to nicplynel! The name of my brand is based on the first three letters of my names: Nicole Plymesser Nelson. My shop sells prints of my handlettered and painted artwork. I don't just love making art, I need to do it. It clears my head, centers me, and then sharing it brings me even more joy. Most of the artwork comes from my morning faith art journaling time. I sketch, paint with watercolor, and then do the lettering and add colored pencil highlights--all by hand. Then I scan everything into the computer and print them right from my home computer. I have a strong Christian faith and this has become a ministry for me.

I have been making art since I was very young. My mom still has cards that I made when I was in elementary school that I signed, drew barcodes on, and even had a logo for...all based on my favorite stationery store in town. I asked for a calligraphy kit when I was 10 for Christmas and taught myself using books. As I progressed through school and college I was drawn more and more to watercolor and collage. After college I taught high school and then elementary art. I love sharing the wonder and joy of finding beauty in lines, colors, and shapes with children. I got married, added three children to our family and opted to stay home, especially since hubby's work took us to several different states. Now I am painting, teaching classes, and blog over at nicplynel.com about my art.

Etsy has become the perfect venue to help share my collection and the joy of art with others. Thank you for looking at my shop and I hope that not only did you enjoy looking, but you found a piece of artwork you would enjoy sharing with others as well.

I am a Christian artist. I paint something every morning that goes along with my devotions and prayer time. I share them and my thoughts on faith on my blog/website www.nicplynel.com and then prints of the art are for sale here.
