I’m always surprised when people assume that NightBlooming is run by a team of people, because it’s a one-woman micro-business!

I grew up with a love of fantasy novels, nature, and animals. After my quest for red hair led to disaster, I doubled down on my passion for reading and experimentation, for nature and science, and set out on a journey to heal the damage and get the color I wanted, naturally. My herbal alchemy did the trick and, once the methods and products had proven successful, I launched NightBlooming–a virtual garden in which to grow my passion and share it with the world.

My husband is my lodestar, and we live together in a sweeping river valley with mutinous cats and garden dotted with honeybees.

Returns and exchange details
🌿 Refunds & Exchanges
I accept returns and exchanges on unopened, unused product so long as you contact me within 14 days of delivery and have the product on its way back to me within 21 days of delivery. Returns are subject to a 20% restock fee. Unless I have made an error (such as shipping the wrong product), the buyer is responsible for both for the cost of shipping the product to be returned to me, AND for the cost of shipping the replacement product to them. I will invoice the buyer for the cost of shipping the replacement product and the 20% restock fee before sending the new product out. Custom orders cannot be returned or exchanged.

(¸.•´ (¸What methods of Payment do you accept?
I accept all digital forms of payment through Etsy. I do not accept personal checks, money orders, or cashier's checks.
🌿 When do you pack and ship orders?
I pack orders on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday nights, meaning they are collected by the post office on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday mornings. I will contact you if there are any unforeseen delays :) Delays such as postal holidays do not merit special delay notification.

🌿 Lost Packages
I am not responsible for lost packages, undelivered packages, or packages that were stolen once they have been marked "Delivered" by the carrier. Carriers do not give me special insight into your delivery--I see the exact same tracking information you do. If a package has gone missing, marked delivered but you do not have it, etc. your next step should be to contact your local post office. They will not give me delivery details about where a package may have been left at a private residence.

🌿 Whoops, I told you to ship to the wrong address, can it be changed?
Yes! Just contact me *before I ship your order* and I will change your shipping address. If your order has already shipped, I cannot reroute it, but you are welcome to contact the shipping service to see if it can be delivered to the proper address. I do not offer refunds or replacements on products I ship to the address that I was provided. Please check your shipping address carefully.

🌿 Don't Gamble--insure your packages
If your package is lost and **IF** you paid for insurance I will file an insurance claim on it. That means you must ship Priority Mail in the US and International Priority Mail outside of it. Keep in mind that First Class International packages are NOT insured and may take up to 3 months to arrive if they are waylaid in Customs. If you choose not to insure a package, please keep in mind that once I send it I have no way to recover your losses if it never arrives or is very delayed. I understand international shipping is absurdly high, but please do not gamble with uninsured shipping unless you are willing to accept that it's a wash if your package does not arrive. If you are concerned about this, please upgrade to a form of postage that allows you to add insurance. I reserve the right to upgrade and add insurance if the value of the package is very high.

🌿 Can I combine shipping on multiple orders?
Yes! I try to catch this on my own, but sometimes it gets lost in the shuffle of many orders. To ensure that multiple orders are combined into one shipment you must contact me with all applicable order numbers that you would like shipped together. The new package will be weighed and any shipping overages (after packaging costs and handling costs are subtracted) will be refunded.

🌿 Do you ship internationally?
Yes! I am happy to offer worldwide shipping via First Class International. Please note that this level of shipping cannot be insured. If you would like insurance, the shipping has to be International Priority. I reserve the right to upgrade to International Priority with insurance if the value of the package is very high. If you have any specific instructions for customs forms please let me know. If you do not insure your packages I cannot compensate you for them if they are lost or never arrive.

🌿 What is included in shipping costs?
My shipping prices are set to cover the cost of shipping, packaging materials, the time spent pulling inventory and boxing up the order, and a small portion of the Etsy and PayPal fees incurred with each transaction.
