My love for taxidermy started very young. We vacationed in Maine every year and a local taxidermist lived down the road from where we camped. Funny thing is that I never even saw the taxidermy studio, but every time we drove by I wondered in awe what everything looked like. From then on I became fascinated with the weird and bizarre, I rented the original Frankenweenie from the video store almost every week with my dad.

Years later, I've made my weird curiosity into a way of life. I took a small animal taxidermy class at the Harvard Natural History Museum and never looked back. I took a big pay cut with my retail management position for a graveyard shift job to give me more time to do my taxidermy on the side. So far it's going great! I've gotten some amazing feedback and am always pushing myself to learn more. I've made my dream a reality. When you're heart is in something, let it flourish, because everything will fall into place.
