Announcement   I have been lampworking for over 15 years, and I have loved every minute of it!

Lampworking, for me, is a fascinating art form. Glass is melted at a torch, then wound on a steel mandrel and manipulated with tools. The resulting artifact is annealed in a kiln for strength, and when cooled, it is cleaned thoroughly.

I enjoy the colors, the process and the immediate gratification of what I have created. I have a studio in South Central Virginia, where I create, by hand, all of my glass beads. Each bead is kiln annealed and then cleaned, before being sold as either a set of beads, a focal bead or incorporated into finished jewelry or gift items.

I try to take accurate pictures of my beads, and represent the colors as accurately as possible. Please keep in mind that different computer screens may show different shades of color. Remember this if you are trying to match something exactly. Also, the photographs are greatly enlarged to show the detail.

Quick shipping, well prepared for mailing. Lovely bead, but colors not as vivid in "real life" as depicted in photo. Also, as a bead maker myself, I know what "good ends" should look like, and on this bead, one end is uneven, which will make getting it to hang correctly on a pendant to be a bit challenging. Again, lovely overall, but short of 5 stars for the bead itself. Service 5 stars.

Welcome!
I create all of my work in a studio in South Central Virginia. Each bead is kiln annealed for strength and durability, then cleaned of residual bead release, before being sold as either focal beads, or sets, or incorporated into finished jewelry or gift items.

Lampworking, for me, is a fascinating art form. I love the whole process, from melting glass and manipulating the molten glass into the form I want, to the endless way of decorating the bead, whether with precious metals, enamels, etc. The possibilities are only limited by my imagination.

Thanks for looking, and supporting handmade work, made in the USA, and local artisans!

Additional policies and FAQs
I try to take accurate pictures of my beads, and try only to crop the photos. Please keep in mind that different computer screens may show different shades of color, and remember this if you are trying to match something exactly.

I take my photos either in full sunlight or with a light box and flash. Please keep that in mind, as the bead will be a bit darker if viewed in dim light.

Since all of my beads are made by hand, no two will be exactly identical. This is the essence of handmade art.

If you would like custom work done, please contact me and we'll talk about it. I do some custom work, including Memory Beads, which incorporate into a glass bead the cremated remains of a loved one.

There will be a fifty percent (50%) non-refundable deposit due prior to the work starting. The remainder of the balance is due upon customer approval of the item BEFORE it is shipped.
