This soft, silky feeling onesie is perfect for fall and I love the detail on the squirrel's eye, adorable. Thank you!

Made for kids, by a big kid with big ideas, in a small room!

Once upon a time, a couple of years ago, Chitra Sharma started Noctiluna as a labor of love, and it still is.

This tiny little company truly is a 'mom and pop' business.
Run by a former high school Art teacher, and her Computer Geek husband (Rajiv); the company's main aim is to make and sell beautiful things, and get more people involved, and interested in Art and Design.
Especially children.

Being an Artist, an Educator and a Parent, is something that constantly informs and shapes the type of work Chitra makes, and the way she makes it.
Every piece is created at her home, surrounded by the hustle and bustle of family life, and constantly critiqued by her children and their friends.....and their friends' friends.

Chitra blogs (and sometimes rambles) about her experiences as a designer, educator and small business owner at

Throughout the Summers, Chitra runs the Noctiluna Summer Art Camp, at schools in Vienna VA.

Noctiluna sells at a few local fairs and markets in the DC metro area, and is always on the lookout for new and exciting projects.

Hello. Thank you for your interest in Noctiluna.

This is a one woman (and her husband) operation. Everything is made carefully in our smoke-free, pet-free home, and critiqued by our very opinionated kids.

The clothes are hand screen printed, and the dyes are heat set, so they can be machine washed.

All of the prints that we sell are reproductions of original artwork by Chitra Sharma, and are copyright of Chitra Sharma 2011-12.

The original drawings were made with a variety of dry and wet media on watercolor paper. The subject of the drawings are inspired by the artist and her children's fantasies. This is an ongoing project, and new pictures will pop up often.

Reproductions are printed with archival inks onto off-white, heavyweight, fine art paper. Each print is signed by the artist.
