Noella Beauty is a line of cosmetics that is completely handmade in my studio in Pittsford, New York. Each product begins with quality ingredients that are custom blended to create cosmetics for even the most sensitive skin. I strive to provide a product with excellent payoff and an affordable price tag.
My mission is to provide a different kind of makeup for those who are eco-conscious and those who have irritable skin that will react to even the most gentle of products. You'll only find a handful of completely pure and non-irritating ingredients in all of my cosmetics.

I have been wearing mineral makeup since high school and I, myself had issues with breaking out even with top quality, mineral makeup that was all natural. Upon researching the ingredients, I realized that my skin did not pair well with ingredients such as Bismuth Oxychloride, talc, Cornstarch or Boron Nitrate. I also learned that many other women have the same reactions to those ingredients. I ordered a small amount of ingredients to try to concoct my own foundation and eyeshadow. The results weren't perfect shade wise or texture wise and certainly needed adjustments but what I noticed was that my skin had no reaction. After creating some cosmetics for my mother and I, I soon starting making it in larger quantities and selling it in a small basket in my her salon (she is a beautician) and with the good response, Noella Beauty began. I opened my Etsy shop in December of 2010, while I was still in school and also working part time at a cafe. My first month brought me over a hundred sales. I was overwhelmed with the response and eventually was able to quit my day job and work full time on my cosmetics line.
My work is truly my passion and I absolutely love my job.

Q: Are your products vegan?
A: Many of them are, but a few contain 'carmine', which is not a vegan ingredient. To see an individual product's ingredients, you'll find them right in the listing.

Q-- Can you make a custom product for me?
A-- Yes! If you want a product customized (i.e you have a strong golden or pink tone to your skin), you can simply order the product you would like 'tweaked' and put your customization requests into the Notes to Seller. If there is any issue or if I have any further questions for your customization, I will email you. This method is the quickest and easiest way to have a product tweaked or customized.
I can add certain tones, lighten or darken most shades, add shimmer or mix products with other products upon request. Making products matte if they are not already, can be a little tricky, as many of the components I use already contain some shimmer. If there is a product you want to have made with a matte finish, please submit a Custom Item request.

Q-- Which colors do you recommend for my coloring?
A-- I get many requests for recommendations. In each listing's descriptions, you'll find information on what skin tone/coloring that the product matches best with.
For general reference:
*Brown Eyes: Most colors go great with brown eyes- you really can choose any color! To enhance brown eyes, stick to bold purples, golds and plum shades.
*Green Eyes: are paired best with plums, soft pinks, maroon, golds, greens and brown shades.
*Blue & Gray Eyes: Golds, Blues, Brown, Soft orange shades & purples.
*Hazel Eyes: Golds, Pinks, Purples, & Browns.

Q-- Can you swatch a color for me?
A-- You can send me an email to request this, but a lot of swatches are difficult to photograph accurately unless it's in a particular light. I'm in school nearly all afternoon during the week and this make it a little harder to do. If you need a swatch, please feel free to ask, and I will do my best to swatch something for you.

Q-- Where is my order?
A-- I list my Turnaround times on my announcements & the receipt you received with your order (Notes to Buyer). Please make sure you understand this and are okay with the wait time before ordering. Because I'm currently a full time student- it may take up the max. # of days indicated. I appreciate your patience and understanding!

Q-- Can you ship my product via Priority or Express mail?
A-- Please send me an email with the subject line 'Priority/Express Shipping Request' and the details of your intended order. As stated, because I am currently in school, it may not be possible for me to do so- however, I will try my very best to accommodate.

Q-- Can I have a larger jar of (product name)?
A-- Usually, yes! I offer any of my products in jars as large as 30g (which hold 10g of product) If you're interested in purchasing a larger jar, please submit a request for a Custom Item and I can make you a reserved listing.

A-- Yes

Q-- Do you products expire?
A-- If kept cool and dry, my cosmetics have an indefinite shelf life. They contain no parabens or liquids, so spoiling does not occur. Bacteria accumulates on all cosmetics over time, but you can counter this by using clean brushes & closing your jars tightly when not in use.

Q-- Do you sell brushes?
-- What brushes do you recommend?
A-- I unfortunately cannot sell brushes here on Etsy as it is against TOU's. I recommend using full, thick haired brushes for applying my products. Fo foundations, bronzers and veil, a kabuki or foundation brush. A spot concealer brush for concealers & color correctors. An angled blush brush for blush. Eyeshadow brush (opposed to an eyeshadow pad) for eyeshadows. Since I cannot attach photos to this section, a quick google search of the above brushes will show you what each brush looks like. You can purchase brushes online, as well as in most department stores.

Q-- Are all of your products handmade?
A-- Yes. Every single one- completely from scratch :) All formulations are my own creations and are not recreations of any commercial recipe.

Q-- How do I apply (product name)?
A-- On all of my foundation, blush, veils, bronzers & concealers, directions for product application are found in the listing as well as on the label of the product. All other products come with applications direction cards.

Q-- Can I sample your products?
A-- I am happy to provide samples, but due to my limited time during school, I do have to limit the amount of samples I offer. Please limit 3 product samples per order. You will find eyeshadow samples for sale in my shop, but any other product sample requests can be made by submitting a Custom Item request.

Q-- Can I get a discount?
-- Do you negotiate prices?
A-- I offer a free eyeshadow with any purchase over $50 (before shipping costs), but otherwise, my prices are firm and I do not offer any further discounts. Thank you for understanding :)

I do whatever I can to photograph and edit my products so that the true color comes through. However, computer monitors vary greatly and I understand that sometimes the color isn't quite what you expected. Please get in touch with me via convo/email if you find the product color was not what you expected. Please do not use the feedback system for this.

If you aren't satisfied with your purchase for any reason whatsoever, please contact me for a refund / exchange within 10 days of purchase.
Items must be shipped back to me before a refund/exhange is issued. You are responsible for shipping fees associated with returns.
