thank you! Great quality and design.
Hi, my name is Peri. I am an artist, turned midwife, turned mom, turned noni bee founder. When my daughter was born, I wanted her to have original, comfortable clothing that had personality while not being too girly or fussy. I was frustrated by the available options, so I learned to sew and made most of her clothing myself. I fell in love with the process and drew upon my fine arts background as I created pieces for her that we both loved and felt good about. I always want the clothing I give to my daughter – whether it be sewn by me or purchased – to be high quality and ethically made, and I want it to fit for more than one season. I created noni bee with these same ideals in mind– long-lasting, natural, sustainable clothing with personality.
The name noni bee comes from my daughter’s nickname. Noni was the first thing she called herself when she began talking. Taking her lead, my husband and I started calling her noni, which somehow turned into noni baloney. We eventually shortened it to noni bee, and it stuck. I hope noni bee fits your little ones too.
noni bee fabric and garments are made in America in small batches. We are currently offering garments in 2 different fabrics, a 100% cotton french terry and a cotton jersey blend that is 92% cotton 8% spandex. Milled in california, our fabric is made from organic cotton yarn that is grown without the use of pesticides, insecticides, herbicides, and gmos. Our fabric is then dyed with fiber reactive dyes (free from azos and heavy metals) and printed with water based inks. All noni bee fabric designs come from my original drawings and linoleum prints. Garments are then assembled in Brooklyn, New York.

Frequently asked questions
Clothes are sized generously to fit kiddos for more than one year. Clothing is made to fit the upper end of the size range perfectly, and be a little roomy for the lower end of the size. For example, 2/3 will fit a typical size 3t very well and be a little roomy on a typical size 2t. Reasons to size down: your little girl is on the lower end of the size range and you want a perfect fit now; or if she is slender or petite for her age. Garments will shrink after first wash, as they are made from cotton fibers that are not preshrunk. If you have any questions on sizing please send us a message and we will be happy to help!
