About NoodlesCrochet

On Etsy since 2014

I'm Muriel aka Noodle and I was taught to crochet by my grandmother. While I didn't crochet for quiet a few years I took it up again to make toys for my son. After seeing some photos of crocheted food on the internet I decided to crochet food for his toy kitchen. It wasn't long before I was hooked again and my son loved it.

Since then I have been experimenting with different forms of crochet such as amigurumi, blankets, clothing and homewares such as baskets. I've been learning new stiches, trying out different yarns and even designing a few patterns myself. You can see an almost complete record of my work on my facebook page.

I have always loved making crafty things and I also love to upcycle and recycle. This has lead to the introduction of my ♲ sustainable range of crochet products. These are made from yarns purchased from op shops, charity shops and destash pages. They are all new yarns that somebody else couldn't use and parted with. My sustainable basket range is made from eco friendly tshirt yarn. This yarn is made from factory offcuts, so it is new material that would otherwise be destined for landfill. As well as this I also use fibre fill made from recycled plastic water bottles in all my products that contain stuffing.

You will notice that I also sell a variety of crochet supplies. I started this as I found that some items just weren't available in my local craft stores. I have found some great suppliers for these products. However, as you often have to purchase large quantities at a time this doesn't always suit crafters who just require a small number of items. So with that in mind I began the supplies side of my shop.

I hope you enjoy browsing through Noodles Crochet etsy shop and if you have a special request please feel free to send me a message.
xx Muriel aka Noodle

I've been a crafter from a young age. Crochet is by far my favorite. I'm formally educated with a BSc Environmental Management and have a love for upcycling which comes through in some of the creations in my store.
