About

One day in 2016, in a tiny home nestled in lot twenty-nine...

North + 29 Candle Company is a small batch candle company located in the Rocky Mountains of Denver, Colorado. Our brand is simple and classic. We make our candles with care using three simple ingredients: clean-burning soy wax, high quality fragrance oil blends, and soot-free cracking wooden wicks. No artificial colors. No added phthalates or preservatives.

North + 29 Candle Co. was born in a small town called Lone Pine, California. The idea came to it's owner Jessica after years of traveling and living in a tiny home in the mountains. Lone Pine is a scenic town, known for it's film history and local mom and pop businesses. Inspired by all of the local artisans and scenic beauty, North + 29 Candle Co. came about one day in 2016 in a tiny home nestled in north lot number twenty-nine.

Since then, we have now relocated to another beautiful scenic area in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado and in the past two years this little business has grown to be something magical. Many long days and late nights have been spent pouring my heart into my work - to make sure I've created something you'll be sure to love. I've formed many great relationships with my customers, and to me that is worth everything. This is not just work for me, it is my passion and how I support my little growing family. I am oh so grateful for my customers and my goal is to create something beautiful that will make you happy. Thank you for giving me the chance to make you something you will love and for helping make this a dream come true!

Burning + Caring for your Soy Wood Wick Candle //
Soy wax is considered a memory wax. What does that mean? It means that every time you light your soy candle, it remembers how much wax pooled the very first time it was lit. In order to give your candle the best memory, the first time you light it make sure you allow a full melt pool to form all the way across the jar (about 3 hours). This will prevent tunneling and maximize the burn time and performance of your candle.

It is also recommended that you trim the wooden wick to about 1/4" each time prior to lighting it. Tools we like to use for this are wick trimmers or nail clippers. This will help your wooden wick keep producing a nice flame and crackle as well as a clean burn.
