About

Curiouser and curiouser....

Nouveau Motley is a one (wo)man show that consists of me; Rachael Victoria Adams of Caspar, California. Endlessly tinkering in a drafty 1940's gas station turned art gallery, I have a passion for the past and love the present.
I have formal education in Fine Art and Anthropology (I was a perpetual student with many interests). Arts and crafts have always been a passion and I am constantly learning and utilizing new techniques and areas of the field.
I enjoy creating art and collecting/reselling antique and vintage items that have a function. If you can use or wear it, its not clutter. At least thats what I tell myself…

I ship USPS First Class Mail once a week for all handmade items, usually on Thursdays. I ship as often as daily around the holidays. A Priority Mail upgrade is available here:
http://www.etsy.com/shop/NouveauMotley?section_id=11041031
If you would like to receive your item sooner, please Convo me and I will do my best to accommodate you. Expedited shipping is available for an additional fee.

INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS- By law, it is required that I mark 'merchandise' on customs forms. The buyer is responsible for all customs charges.
PLEASE KEEP IN MIND First Class International Mail takes anywhere from 1 to 6 weeks to arrive and sometimes even longer depending on your local Customs Office's policies. Please understand that these types of delays are out of my control, and does not mean that I did not ship your item quickly. I am not responsible for items lost in international mail.
Refunds and Exchanges
If you are unhappy with your purchase, I will be happy to offer you a refund or exchange, minus shipping.

My return policy expires 7 days after you receive the item.

Refunds will be processed within 3 days after I receive the returned item.
Additional policies and FAQs
I am open to custom work. 50% of the total is due before I begin work and is non refundable. Please understand that custom work can take a while depending on complexity when you figure in all the time spent conversing in emails, obtaining components, emailing during the actual creation process, and making the piece. I do not accept custom 'Rush' orders.

Reserving items- Items may be reserved by making a non refundable deposit of 25% (to be later applied to the purchase price) is made at time of reserve. If the item is not purchased within 30 days the deposit is forfeited and the item will be relisted, unless other arrangements are made beforehand.

Layaway- I am open to layaway and am rather flexible as to terms. 25% of the purchase price is non refundable. Discounted or sale items are not applicable for layaway.
