About

A Little Bit About Nova...

Nova Vintage Clothing is a small, home-based business in Baltimore, MD, USA. Mostly a one-woman show, Paige hand-picks, carefully cleans and repairs, photographs, and lists each vintage piece. She also handles marketing, customer service, and shipping. Paige gets occasional technical assistance from her husband Nick (a high school art teacher who loves unicycles and motorcycles), and lots of comic relief from her 2-year-old son. Sometimes she works with interns who assist with the heaps of ironing and mending in exchange for learning about running an online business.

Paige's fascination with vintage started when she was a little girl growing up in Maine. She later incorporated vintage into her fine art photography. She founded Nova Vintage in 2006, opening the Etsy shop in October 2012. She has been featured in Baltimore Magazine and has styled vintage looks for MTV'S House of Style pilot. Her favorite part about the business is breathing new life into old garments and meeting other vintage-loving folks from all over the world. She loves basking in that magic moment when a customer finds that perfect, one-of-a-kind dress in the perfect size. She can almost see the customer glowing with excitement through the internet, and knows the garment will begin its new history and be cherished once again.

In her spare time Paige enjoys yoga and hiking with her family and their two retired racing Greyhounds.

Additional policies and FAQs
Imperfections are part of the charm of vintage clothing! Vintage clothing is preloved and preworn, so by nature is imperfect. Unless described as in mint condition, expect a minor flaw here and there. If an item has a noticeable flaw (a noticeable mark or noticeable repair that is highly visible when worn) we will describe it specifically in the listing. If we feel the flaw detracts from the overall value or wear-ability of the item, we will adjust the price accordingly.

We spend a lot of time inspecting, washing (including hand washing and dry cleaning), and meticulously restoring each item.
