​Needle felting is a process which uses needles to interlock wool fibers and transform the wool into harder form.
​The needle can shape the wool into any shape you like.

​About Hydie Tan :

I am a hand craft maniac, always keeping my hands busy on making something. "Kawaii" (Japanese word for CUTE) can best describe my work because most items I have created are cute birds and animals.

I used to specialize in making jewerly, around 2011 I was introduced to needle felting , since then I was addicted to this craft. It's amazing to see how a bunch of soft fluffy wool can be transformed into a solid object and can be shapped to all types of figures. I am so passionate about this craft that I travelled to Japan to learn advance skills of needle felting.

On the other hand, my drawing skills are partly learned from local art school and partly self taught. Coloured pencils, charcoal and watercolours are my favourite mediums.
