My name is Dani and I'm a woman in my 30's, a graphic and web designer and of course, a weaver. I was born and raise in Buenos Aires, Argentina and travelled for the past five years (2017, now it's 2022). Life has taken me away from the city to put me in a more natural landscape. Currently, I've moved to Lago Puelo, Chubut, a town in the Andean Patagonia, also here in Argentina and I'm loving it!
I love taking photographs, explore my surrounding and forage food and plants.

"Nü shu", in traditional Chinese, is translated as "women's writing". It was a secret language, of uncertain antiquity, created by and for women.
What is known for sure is that it was used at least for hundreds of years although, at present, with women's inclusion in Chinese men's educational system, the language has fallen into disuse, leaving very few women who understand “nü shu”.

A while ago I've learned that the words "text" and "textile" have their root in the latin word "texere" which means "to weave". This is why I strongly believe when we, women, weave we write our stories, thoughts, emotions.

Going beyond ink and paper, our writing is born and transformed from the use of our yarn, threads, needles and looms combined with our ideas.
Even though sometimes our writing stays hidden, in past or present, it's inevitable for me to think that when we connect with those threads, we not only connect with ourselves but with all women in a single thread across time.

Weaving connects us all.
