    About

It's in a line, a curve, a single splash of color that changes everything.

    About Us

NYCV is a collective which seeks to impart new themes and custom design into everyday functional products. NYCV emerged from experiences sourced primarily within the concrete desert of NYC for over 10 years. Our first product, the Palit, is a beauty workspace that creates a new realm in the spaces where we adorn and refine ourselves. It is this transformation that we seek: from functional to fashionable. All medium are our domain. It’s in a line, a curve, a single splash of color that changes everything.

    About Our Brand

Everything we do is done to solve a problem and to create order from chaos. To beautify functional objects and to elevate found ones. Our products spring forth from the well of need first. The Palit was conceived when a founder was frustrated with the lack of prep room in her then apartment bathroom. Objects kept falling off of the edge of the sink basin and either into the sink itself or onto the floor. She then walked into her bathroom on another occasion after getting ready in a hurry and noticed the disarray in the room; a blow dryer on the top of a closed toiled lid, lipstick and foundation in the well of the sink basin, all manner of products perched on the edge of the stand-alone sink. The chaos was confounding. The end result of her transformation was one of beauty and elegance but the lack of useable space left chaos and disorder in what should have been a tranquil and beautiful realm. This dilemma occurred because her standard issue sink basin had no clearance around it to accommodate her beauty supplies. People have been accommodating this lack of space for years in various ways; none of which we think are acceptable.

    Mission Statement

It is our mission to create designs which elevate people’s everyday experiences. Each encounter will make you question all previous encounters and wonder why they do not compare. Our medium is agnostic; we are in the service of innovation, inspiration and our audience.

    Bespoke Philanthropy

Inspiration comes when you are working with clarity of vision. One core aspect of our vision is to take what comes to us and cast it back out into the world through philanthropy. What makes our philanthropy different is that we will not use our giving for promotion. We entrust our customers with the decision on where the proceeds will go and we give them accordingly. In essence, your creativity and purpose will inform where we direct our proceeds. Simply put, you, our customer, are the creative directors of our philanthropic ventures.

    Sustainability

We aim to create products from sustainable sources. Whether it be bamboo or recycled plastics. Our objective is to reuse found materials or those in high abundance with low carbon footprint, like bamboo, so that we can provide our customers with products that will add benefit to them while not consequently harming our fragile environment.

    America

While our philanthropy is global, we are committed to stimulating the growth of our local American economy. We are deliberate in our design and in our supply chain. We know that by sourcing materials that are home-grown we can reduce our carbon footprint and provide revenue streams to our local communities and reduce costs to our customers. Our products are wholly designed, sourced and produced within the United States.
