About

Anything can be made or crafted in one way or another, some imagination and persistence is all that's needed.

My name is Caroline Eklund and I am a freelance craftswoman and inventor of my own fantasy creations, living in the northern parts of Sweden – also called Norrland.
I often find my inspiration in nature and the dark deep forests, mythology and folklore, the historic and ancient, the supernatural and the strange.

I have for as long as I can remember been interested in crafts, arts and building things with my hands, so my creative journey started at a young age.
Today I have learned a lot by trial and error but I also have an educational background in both arts, textile and design, leatherwork, book binding and prop making.

I enjoy working with a wide range of materials and techniques, both traditional as well as modern and I strive to always continue to develop my set of skills. In the end, regardless of the materials or techniques I use, my creations tend to convey an organic and genuine feeling.

Welcome to my shop!
Please purchase seriously and read all of my policies and item description before checking out and paying, to avoid any unnecessary trouble.

Note that I put much effort into photographing my items accurately, but I cannot guarantee that every computer monitor will accurately depict the actual color of the item, due to different monitor settings.

Returns and exchanges
I gladly accept returns, exchanges, and cancellations
Contact me within: 14 days of delivery
Ship items back within: 21 days of delivery

The following items can't be returned or exchanged
Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Perishable products (like food or flowers)
  • Digital downloads
  • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)

REFUNDS:
► I accept cancellations/returns/exchanges. Please inform me of cancellation in writing within 14 days, via Etsy Conversations.

► You, the customer, must pay for the return shipping costs.
The item/s must be returned in a resaleable condition ie. original packaging, clean, undamaged and all tags etc still attached. You are free to open packaging and examine the item/s carefully but they must remain unused and undamaged.
You are recommended to use a service with insurance and proof of posting and proof of delivery. You are chargeable, up to original order value, for goods that are not received back or are returned damaged.

► I cannot refund any import duties or taxes paid by you for receipt of the goods into your country, you will need to do that yourself. Please keep copies of all paperwork and proof of posting of returned goods to support your application for refunds of import duties and taxes.

► The right to cancel an order does not apply to business purchasers. That said, do not hesitate to contact me if you are unsatisfied with your purchase for any reason and I will do my best to help you. Digital downloads are non refundable.

DAMAGED ITEMS:
► Faulty goods may be replaced, repaired, fully or partially refunded. If you receive a damaged item please contact me immediately, before making any faulty goods returns, and I will do all I can to solve the problem with you!
Payment
► All prices are listed in Swedish Krona (SEK) and will be automatically converted to your own currency by Etsy.
You can choose what currency in which you view items on the site. Sign in and go to You > Account settings > Preferences. You can also use the region bar at the bottom of any Etsy page.

► By Swedish law all prices are shown with 25% Swedish VAT (tax) included, for all orders placed within Sweden and the rest of the European Union.
For sales outside of the EU, the VAT will be automatically discounted via the shipping charges, since the export VAT from Sweden is 0%.

► In some cases I can offer payment plans or split payments. Contact me for more info about this.
Shipping
► I ship worldwide.

► Smaller items are sent as "letter" without tracking. Larger items are sent as "parcel" - tracking included. But please check the items description for your specific info.
Please contact me before you purchase if you would like to add tracking, insurance or express.

► If you want a recalculated shipping cost when shopping more than one item, please let me know before you purchase. Since my items vary so much in size and weight I can't use the automatic calculator for this.

► I will ship your item/s 1-3 working days after payment is complete. If there happen to be any delays I will of course contact you and let you know about the situation. Sweden does not have mail service on Saturdays and Sundays.

► Estimated shipping times:
Outside of Europe: 1-2 weeks
Europe: 3 days to 1 week
Sweden: 2 days

These are estimates and they can vary and unfortunately I don't have control over that.
Packages being shipped outside of Europe may be delayed in your local customs agency for up to 6 weeks. This almost never happens but it is good to be aware of it.

► I do my very best to package and wrap my items to give them a safe journey to you. I use reused or recycled packaging, whenever it is possible, to leave the smallest imprint I can on the environment. Items are shipped in boxes with sturdy packaging, some soft items will be wrapped and shipped in paper or recycled/reused plastic.

► I always ship to the address given during Etsy checkout so please make sure your address is correct.

► International customers are responsible for ensuring the goods are acceptable in their country and for payment of all local taxes, customs duty, processing and import fees.

Data Retention:

I generally keep your data for the following time period: 7 years. This is the required period I must keep my book-keeping documents according to Swedish law.

I do not transfer your information outside of the EU and I do not store your information through any third-party services, besides from Etsy.
