A Tomboy With a History of Making
I grew up climbing trees, catching tadpoles, creating a cemetery for the bugs I fished out of our swimming pool, riding my bike, and swimming. Constantly.
I was (and still am) a tomboy and have always had an interest in making things, whether it is a cake in the kitchen, a rocket in the backyard with Dad, clothes for Barbies with my sister, or painting with my mom. I have chronic asthma that caused me many hospitalizations and much time indoors as a child-time I often spent making and creating with my family. Both my parents are creative people and I definitely caught that "bug."
Today, that dichotomy is present in the jewelry I make and sell online. Some of my pieces are elegant and refined, while others are crazy and a little bit "out there."
