This and that
After giving birth to my little son in 2010, I decided to continue my design and illustration work as a freelance artist. In order to stay inspired and continue to create while raising a little one, I started a personal blog where I shared bits and pieces of work, process, inspiration and little family updates. While making my work public I had more people asking where they can buy my illustrations and since I had in mind to open a little shop anyway we decided that Etsy would be just the right place.
The challenging thing was the decision on where to locate the shop since most of the year we live in Europe and we stay only a few months a year in the US. Finally, we decided to locate the shop in North Platte, NE (Jeremy's hometown) and have my mother-in-law become a huge help with it as she is the one mailing the orders. This was a good decision since most of my clients are from the US. We communicate a lot and we are putting much effort, love and care in our products so that our customers are happy and enjoy their purchases.
I have always been in love with paper goods therefore I am happy to offer a variety of my work as art prints, postcards, cards, notebooks and originals featuring my watercolor illustrations.
I get most of my inspiration from nature, people, animals, insects, vintage books, daily life and I like to put down my ideas in my sketchbooks that I carry with me at all times.
I am continually brainstorming new ideas for future products and keeping myself busy with creative projects while accepting custom orders.
Thank you so much for stopping by!
Hi there! My name is Oana (pronounced ‘Wanna”) and I am a freelance graphic designer and illustrator with a huge love for photography, crafts and paper goods.
My little shop is owed by my wonderful husband who is the greatest supporter of my work.
Barbara is my sweet mother-in-law. She is the one taking care of all the orders and shipping them your way. She is the greatest help for our shop making it possible while we are in Europe.
