Announcement   Hi & welcome to Oblahk! I create purposeful beauty accessories that become part of your routine of taking care of yourself. I initially designed each piece for my own beauty needs (each style has a story). I am also environmentally conscious so I use a zero waste cutting approach in my production process, and recycle little scraps with FabCycle so that nothing goes into landfill!

The name oblahk comes from the Slovak work "oblak", which means cloud. It represents Vancouver ("Raincouver") as well as my Slovak heritage.

Enjoy your stay,
Claudia x

I absolutely love these head wraps. I have been using every day for years and mine was worn out. Needed a new one. Also ordered extras to bring to a my favorite things party. They were a huge hit. I tell everyone about these. Great for keeping your hair out if your face when washing face, putting on make-up, even use in the shower on days I don’t wash my hair. So great!!!!!

this sleep mask is fantastic! It is comfortably snug so it doesn't move around at all, and the elastic strap is nice and thick so it won't stretch out. It shipped on time and all of my interactions with the store were great. I would absolutely buy another one. Thank you!

About

About Myself

Two years ago I graduated with a Bachelor of Design, Fashion and Technology and now I work at lululemon in the beautiful city of Vancouver in B.C. The name oblahk comes from the Slovak work "oblak", which means cloud. It represents Vancouver (also known as Raincouver) as well as my Slovak heritage.

I make purposeful beauty accessories that become part of your routine of taking care of yourself. I has been my goal to fight against attitudes and images that provoke bad body image for girls and women, and I am proud to see a positive shift in the fashion and beauty industries!

I initially designed each piece for my own beauty needs (each style description has a story), with thoughtful fabric choices and construction techniques. Each piece was designed by myself for my own beauty routine needs. The accessories are still made from scratch by me. I use a zero waste cutting technique that allows me to use as much of a piece of fabric as possible, and I recycle any tiny scraps left over with a local company called FabCycle, so that nothing goes to landfill!

The satisfaction of my customers is very important to me and I do the best that I can to fulfill my customers' needs. Feel free to contact me with any questions that you may have. I also do custom orders.

If your package takes longer than this, please contact your country's postal service about why it may be taking a long time.

Additional policies and FAQs
Note that my handmade items are never totally identical. That's the beauty of handmade, each product is unique!

To care for your terry cloth Oblahk piece, make sure to wash it around once every two weeks because germs eventually build up and can cause breakouts. Every product is machine washable (use cool or warm water), but you may want to put it in a mesh bag before putting it in the wash, or hand wash in the sink to prevent snagging. To hand wash use warm water and a tiny bit of detergent. Rub the fabric together for a minute and let it sit in the sink for five more minutes. Then rinse, squeeze out the water and hang to dry.

If you have any questions before ordering or would like to request a custom order (which I am happy to do!) please feel free to message me here on Etsy!
