Welcome to our shop! Obleek Bouteek is a mom and daughter run company located in Edmonton, AB. That means it is just the 2 of us, and we work extremely hard to fill orders in a timely fashion.

We make purses, diaper bags, lunch bags, straps, and accessories in bold fun fabrics that appeal to our design sense. From yoga totes to coffee cozies, you'll find original accessories in some of the hottest, funkiest fabrics around!

As the 2 people behind Obleek Bouteek, we are committed to providing only the best quality sewing products. We think our policies are pretty standard, but if you ever have a question or concern, please feel free to contact us. We ask that you always let us know if you have a problem with your order before leaving feedback, as we will do everything possible to ensure you are happy with your purchase.

We ask that you please pay for your purchase as quickly as possible, as the timeline for production does not start until the day after you have paid for your order.

Payments not made within 5 days of your order may result in cancellation of your order, but we will always attempt to contact you before cancellation.

Once orders are completed, we usually ship on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

We prefer Paypal as the method of payment, but also accept personal cheques and money orders. Orders paid by cheque or money order are held until the cheque or money order clears. Custom orders are not entered into our production queue until payment clears, so the production timeline starts the day after the cheque or money order has gone through.

You may cancel your order at any time prior to shipping for a full refund, except in the case of custom orders. If a custom order has been placed and paid for, but we haven't started work yet on your order you may cancel and receive a full refund. If work has started, then no refund will be issued. See Refunds and Exchanges below for information on returns and exchanges.

We offer shipping to the U.S. and Canada via Canada Post, and we ship items within 2-3 days of receiving payment.

For non-U.S. international customers, we recommend contacting us before purchase, as we will likely be able to ship to you but will need your location for accurate shipping costs. Please note that shipping international can take a long time, so we can not guarantee any delivery date.

All international customers are responsible for any and all fees and tariffs associated with Customs. These fees and tariffs are not included in either the purchase and/or shipping costs.

Please convo us at the time of purchase if you need your order by a certain date. We may not be able to guarantee the date you need it for, but you always have the option of purchasing faster shipping.

Once your purchased item is out of our hands, we are not responsible for any transit delays or lost shipments.

Please note that once we ship your order, it normally takes anywhere from 5-14 business days (not including weekends) for it to get to most places in the United States and Canada.

For custom orders, this shipping estimate does not include the time needed to make your item(s). Please check our shop announcement for current production time estimates.


When making payment via Paypal, please ensure your Paypal address is current. We will always try and match it with the address listed on Etsy, but will defer to the Etsy-specified address in the case of a discrepancy. In the event that you are unable to update your Paypal address before purchase, please send us a note in the message to seller during checkout.


We do not try to make money off our our shipping rates. We have worked hard to make fair estimates for the shipping costs of each item, which is sometimes difficult to do for international shipping. If we can ship your item for cheaper, we will refund the difference after we have shipped it if the amount is greater than $2.00 USD. Please keep in mind that for Canadian customers, the shipping cost includes the postage you see on your package, as well as GST and fuel surcharges. Sometimes during busy times we may not catch all of the shipping discrepancies, so feel free to contact us if we overcharged more than $2.00 USD.
Refunds and Exchanges
Please contact us immediately regarding any concerns with your purchase after you have received your order. It is important to us that you are 100% satisfied with your purchase(s), and we appreciate the opportunity to correct any mistakes or misunderstandings prior to receiving feedback.

We generally do not offer refunds or exchanges unless every other customer service avenue has been exhausted. Please note that all shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer for repairs and exchanges.


Please contact us is a repair is needed, and we will provide you with more information on the policies we have in place.
Additional policies and FAQs

All of our sewing items have a folded Obleek label (produced by Jennifer's Jewels on Etsy) which is usually stitched onto the side seam or front seam of the item. We also offer our large labels which can be stitched onto the front of the item as well, though the smaller folded ones will be our default from now on (unless we are experiencing a shortage of labels, in which case we will use the stock that we have).

If you are custom ordering an item and wish to NOT have the label displayed on the outside of your item, let us know and we can certainly sew it into the lining or somewhere more discreet instead. You can also request to have us use the larger labels.


When ordering any of our pre-made or custom bags, please note the following:

*Totes, Diaper Bags, and Purses: Unless otherwise indicated, all bags have a layer of thin, stiff interfacing for sturdiness regardless of fabric type. Our bags are very well made and have re-enforced stitching, but we also try to make them less bulky to keep product and shipping costs down for you, the customer. Adding batting to most of our bags for an extra fee is an option, but can increase the shipping cost.

*Lunch bags: Our lunch bag designs are not insulated. In testing our bags, we did not find the insulating material available to us to be very effective in keeping the bags cold, so we suggest using an ice pack in our uninsulated bags for similar results. Batting can be added for extra insulation at an additional cost, but is not guaranteed to keep food items colder.


For our fellow Canadians, we do offer an at par discount so that you are paying for the item in Canadian funds vs. USD (for instance, if an item costs $30 USD you would pay $30 CAD).

Here are the terms of this discount:

1) To qualify for this discount, the order must be purchased from and shipped to a Canadian address.

2) You must specify (in either a convo or in the message to seller box) that you wish to pay in CAD vs. USD PRIOR to paying for your order. We will not automatically apply this discount if you are a Canadian customer; you must let us know that you wish to use it. Please don't assume that we know you are Canadian before placing your order or that you wish to use this discount because you have used it before.

3) To receive at par pricing, go as far through the check out process as clicking on the “Commit to Buy” button, and stop there. Do not proceed to PayPal. Once you have clicked on “Commit to Buy”, we are sent a notification of your order. We will then send you a request for payment via PayPal to the email you gave when signing up on Etsy, usually within a few hours of your purchase. Once payment has been made, your order will go into our queue the next business day.

4) We will not offer the discount by refunding the difference after payment has been made. If you pay and then ask for the discount, we will let you know that the discount must be asked for prior to purchasing. It is a lot more work to calculate the conversion difference and to issue refunds after payment has already been made, and therefore is a process that we would like to eliminate.

5) The at par discount is applied to the remaining balance AFTER a Gift Certificate has been used.

6) The purchase of gift certificates do not qualify for the at par discount; they must be paid for in U.S. funds and will be applied accordingly to the balance before the at par discount is given.

7) The at par discount may not be used with any other discount unless otherwise indicated. Generally we allow at par discounts on sale items and quantity discounts on our lunch items and diaper accessories, but there may be exceptions.

8) This is limited offer and may be discontinued at any time without notice.


To use your gift certificate, select “other” as payment method upon checking out and enter in the code on the bottom left of the certificate in the “Message to Seller” box.

If the amount of your purchase is less than the amount on the certificate, we will keep a record of the balance you have left. The amount remaining may not be redeemed for cash.

If the amount of your purchase is more than the amount on the certificate, we will email you an invoice for the outstanding amount via PayPal.


Our gift certificates are only valid in our Obleek Bouteek Etsy store (www.obleek.etsy.com). The gift certificate value will be applied to the total order in USD (including shipping). Our gift certificates cannot be redeemed for cash. Any balance will be carried over to future purchases. Any purchases in an amount greater than the gift certificate value will result in a balance due by the redeemer.
