About

Welcome!

Oceanity is a magical place where long lost vintage fabrics find new life as playful, high quality accessories. All items are lovingly imagined, sewn, photographed, packaged, and shipped off with care by Michelle, whose designs are inspired by secret gardens, buried treasure, mythical creatures, decades long past, and, of course, the sea.

Michelle began sewing accessories and selling them on Etsy to avoid being swallowed whole by her vast and ever-increasing collection of weird vintage fabrics. Beauty and durability are top priorities, as well as responsible sourcing of materials--like steel barrettes from France and recycled packaging materials made in the USA.

Michelle holds a bachelors degree in printmaking with a minor in book arts from the Savannah College of Art and Design, and is currently studying to become a book conservator.

For custom and wholesale orders, I will create a custom listing for you for the entire price of your order. This listing should be purchased promptly so that I can ship your items as soon as possible. (I will not begin creating your order until payment is received). If you need to see photographs of your order before it ships, just ask!
Shipping
Nearly all items are made-to-order. Please see individual listings for specific processing times. If you need to rush your order or meet a tight deadline, please contact me BEFORE making a purchase.

For large custom orders and wholesale orders, we will establish a shipping time frame when you place your order.

I ship USPS First Class Mail. For domestic orders, a tracking number will be provided once your order has shipped.

International orders ship with USPS First Class Mail and will not include a tracking number. Packages will be labeled appropriately and honestly, and any duty or import taxes are the responsibility of the customer.

If you would like to pay for an upgraded shipping method, please contact me!

RETURNED PACKAGES:
If a package is returned to me because the buyer provided the incorrect address or did not pick up the package, I can either provide a refund (minus shipping), or re-ship the item at the buyer's expense. Packages returned because of a postal error will be reshipped at no cost to the buyer, or a refund (including shipping) can be provided.
Refunds and Exchanges
If your item becomes damaged in shipping or there has been an error in your order (i.e., you received the wrong item), please contact me as soon as possible to arrange a refund or replacement. The damaged or incorrect item(s) must first be returned to me (at my expense) before a replacement can be sent or a refund issued.

If for any reason you feel that your order was not up to the quality described in the listing, please let me know so I can make it right! I take pride in my work and your satisfaction is important to me.

If there is not a problem with your order but you still wish to return it, I do offer exchanges (not refunds), but all shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer. If you wish to make an exchange, you must contact me via Etsy (not email) within 7 days of receiving your package. After you ship the item back to me and I receive it in its original condition, you may pay through PayPal or Etsy to ship your replacement.

PLEASE READ: Custom orders and "Mystery/Grab Bag" items may NOT be exchanged.
