Vintage fashion from AZ to NYC

Ochre & Bone was inspired by a love of shopping and fashion. I am an avid thrifter and I have always done tons of research on the items I purchased. I realized it was time to market this skill. Growing up in, and now returning to the Southwest, after living in New York City gave me a new appreciation for style. The funky turquoise of classic Arizona wear mixed with the effortless air of New York fashion has given me an eye for what looks good year after year.

I've always been frustrated with vintage clothing stores-- either they are too expensive or they sell things that could never really be worn in normal people life. I look for items that are high quality, that can be sold for reasonable prices AND that you could feel totally comfortable wearing. I find my pieces and my models in my everyday life. I want this store to be approachable and understandable. All sizes, all styles, and all people.

I think vintage clothing should be affordable, beautiful and wearable.

Refunds and/or exchanges can be made only in the event that the item has been grossly misrepresented. Refunds and/or exchanges on items marked as in "good" condition are rare. All shipping costs for exchanges will be covered by the customer.

I cannot be held responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged packages.

I ship through USPS for all orders unless specified otherwise. I try to ship multiple items on one day-- contact if you need it to be faster. If you would like to purchase insurance you can message before hand for a quoted price.

I ship in boxes or envelopes padded with recycled items. Each item is hand wrapped. More fragile items will have more intensive packaging.
Additional policies and FAQs
I happily take reservations; items will be on hold with your name for 72 hours. After this time, if you have not purchased, I will take the item off hold.

I'm also happy to negotiate on prices or bundle items. Just message me and we can come to a reasonable deal.

Vintage items are used and often show wear. I throughly inspect each item and disclose all flaws I find. I try to mend all fixable damage (hems, buttons, small holes, etc) to the best of my ability. My items are scaled according to the following:

NOS (New Old Stock)/Deadstock: this means tags are still on the piece. It has never been worn and shows nearly no signs of age.

Perfect Condition: the item looks new and shows nearly no signs of age.

Great Condition: little to no wear seen on the item, perhaps a few loose threads or even a small hole or stain.

Good Condition: wear shown on the item (stains, smells, or holes). I mend holes and hems and replace buttons. This information will be disclosed on the post-- but know that items in "good condition" could have other stains, holes, or flaws.

Refunds or returns on flawed items rated as "good" are unlikely. For items rated as "good," you are highly encouraged to request more photos.

Please ask for extra photos for any clarification on an item. I will respond within 24 hours.
