    Off on a Whim Power and Beauty

    One day I stumbled across a beautiful bracelet in a shop that I simply had to have...until I saw the price tag and gasped. Finances were low at the time, with four kids on a shoestring budget, and I couldn't justify a purchase for myself.

    As I was browsing Pinterest I happened upon a tutorial for the same bracelet, and promptly visited my local craft shop for basic materials: leather cord, stones, thread and needle. From there it snowballed into an independent local business of custom made jewelry with a strong focus on the beauty and power of nature.

    From the start I decided I wouldn't use synthetic materials as much as possible (the thread I use is nylon), and work only with nature's own gifts. Stones especially have fascinated me since I was a child, each one is unique and world of its own, full of color, life and personality.

    Having spent most of my life in Japan and found great interest in the Japanese Power Stone philosophy, that each stone also contains it's own unique power to able and assist you in the daily journey, I've pulled that into my creations as well.

    And so my story went...as I tell people, I was simply off on a whim one day and it evolved into a new direction for my life.

    Once upon a time a stone found its way into my little hands and sparked the imagination of a child. All through life that child kept her eyes open for stones, shells, bits of wood and any piece of nature she use for her craft.

    That little girl grew up, her life journey taking her many directions, but she eventually came back to her love of nature and all it has to offer. And so was born the start of Off on a Whim.

    Returns and exchanges
    I gladly accept returns and exchanges
    Contact me within: 14 days of delivery
    Ship items back within: 30 days of delivery
    I don't accept cancellations
    But please contact me if you have any problems with your order.
    The following items can't be returned or exchanged
    Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
    • Custom or personalized orders
    • Perishable products (like food or flowers)
    • Digital downloads
    • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
    Returns and exchange details
    Cancellation requests made within 2 days of order will be fully refunded. Cancellations made after cannot be refunded as the piece may have already have been completed and being readied to ship.

    Pieces that arrive broken or are not the right order, will be replaced or refunded, including return shipping to Off on a Whim if returned within 6 weeks. Refunds will be issued once item has returned to Off on a Whim. Items returned after 6 weeks will be refunded minus shipping and Etsy charge fees (about 4%).

    Packages reported missing will be replaced or refunded 8 weeks after shipment. Please allow up to 8 weeks for international deliveries.

    Packages can take up to 6-8 weeks to arrive, though 80% of packages have taken approximately a week to 10 days to arrive. Weather conditions can affect international shipping.
