About

My journey to happiness and starting my own business..

I have always been crafty and creative. As a small child, I enjoyed creating, whether it was sewing or playing with yarn. 20 years ago we bought our very first home out in the country. We had a small handful of neighbors, aside from the stunning view that was all we had out here. My mother in law was always working on afghans or other yarn projects. In between raising our children I joined forces with "Miss Lucy" and picked up crocheting again. That was the beginning of my adventure into steadily creating. Shawls, Scarves, Wraps are my very favorite item to crochet.

In 2009 I begged my husband to build on to our small home. My husband with the help of my father in-law built my craft studio. Heaven! For the first time in my life, I had my very own room. Being that I am a twin, I have always had to share. Having a space to call my own has been the best. I can create to my hearts content and not have to worry about leaving anything out.

After our youngest child started pre-school I decided to go to college. I majored in Early Childhood and graduated with honors in 2010. During those tough college/work days crafting and creating helped ease the pressure of having so much to do. I had started working in the preschool classrooms in 2004 and continued working with children and families until 2013.

While I was teaching my husband bought me a Soap Making Kit for Christmas. That was all it took! My first stop was our public library, I checked out every book they had on Soap Making, I was quickly making more soap than our family could use. From there I moved on to Candle Making and discovered the joys of Soy Wax. In December 2010 I was asked if I could make Gift Baskets for a friend. It was the first time I had ever sold anything that I had made. Oh what fun! I soon discovered that I really enjoyed creating Bath & Beauty Products.

With the help of my wonderful husband, I soon had a small business license. In March of 2011 I decided to open up my Etsy shop, the last six years have been exhilarating. I have added more products as well as a bigger selection of fragrances.

While working and managing my Etsy shop, I decided to take a chance and ask a business owner if she would be wiling to rent the front part of her building. She said YES! In August 2013 my journey into opening up my small store began. I had my Grand Opening on November 1 & 2, 2013. What a dream come true!

Now days I create all of my products in my craft studio during the evenings, early mornings and weekends. While I am at the shop, I crochet/knit.

My store front is open Tuesday-Saturday from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. In between customers, I work on my Etsy shops and promoting.

I also host a monthly Craft Night in the back kitchen at the shop. What a joy! Creating and visiting with lovely folks has only added to my wonderful days. I also carry quite a selection of yarn in my store, because I order all of my yarn in bulk I decided to open up a Second Etsy Shop. My second shop is called CraftingWithLeeAnn here you will find an assortment of yarn and packing supplies, hop on over if you get a chance!

New products, projects and ideas are always on the horizon. I love making new friends and am always willing to answer questions or spend time chatting. Thank you so very much for stopping by!
