About

how it came to be:

around age twelve i decided that someday i'd open a shop with my mother and sister, full of old and neat things.

at some point in the glorious and awkward pre/beginning-teen years i started realizing that i could buy old things instead of new things to use in every day life. one day i put on an old cotton 1960s dress with a pair of black converse and went to our little town's hot pepper festival downtown with my grandmother. i found an antique suitcase for $1 and brought it home where it became a victim of decoupage. at this second it's sitting in my bedroom, having recently been used on a trip to maine. even though it's covered in a weird mash of cut-outs ranging from disney's robin hood characters, hank williams, books of the bible and 60s magazines it's a very pleasant reminder of the start of a love for owning and finding old things and making them my own.

my siblings started having a lot of children and so that gave me an excuse to venture over to the section of small clothes when i went thrift shopping. sometimes there would be a cute dress but no niece at the moment to fill it - but i would buy it anyway, just in case someone had one soon.

several years later i heard about etsy.
and here we are.

I sell everything as-is so if you have any questions at all regarding a possible purchase, please feel free to message me before purchasing the item(s)! I will very happily answer to the best of my knowledge, give more detail, send you more photographs, etc.

If you purchase something and are unhappy with said purchase please message me and say what went awry - hopefully we can find a way to fix it or just make it better. If it's a matter of wrong size, wrong color, not exactly what you thought it was, etc... those items will not be considered for return! PLEASE ask for more photos and ANY questions you may have before purchasing an item.

**If there is a return/refund then the customer is responsible for the shipping costs to send the item back. Again... PLEASE ASK for more information or photos prior to purchase for your own sake! I am more than willing to answer questions and send along as many photos as you need.**

The shop sells only vintage items at this point and I do try my honest-to-goodness best to make sure and declare any flaws in the listings, however I am human and may miss some sneaky flaws here and there. Because used/vintage items are prone to imperfection all items are sold AS IS unless I missed something hugely wrong with the item. In that case just message me with your story and I will gladly listen and see what happened!

It will be up to my own discretion whether or not an item has been misrepresented and/or can be returned.

Payment is appreciated upon purchasing.
If no payment has taken place after 48 hours a refund will be issued and the item will be relisted.

RESERVING ITEMS:
Items can be reserved for up to 48 hours. If no purchase has been made by 48 hours the item will no longer be reserved. If you have a particular date you need to hold something until, send a message and let me know, I can oblige! But the same rule applies: If the item has not been purchased 48 hours after the specified date the item will no longer be reserved. Thanks for understanding!
Shipping
At this time I'm only offering shipping within the U.S.
Sorry for any sadness!

If you would like to purchase multiple items message me and we can figure out a shipping cost for your total purchase!

I ship as soon as possible! Never more than a week after date of purchase unless something keeps me from being able.

If the shipping ends up costing $2+ LESS than the charged shipping cost we will refund the difference.

The packages will arrive in (boring) regular shipping envelopes or boxes with not much to-do, but that's only to save YOU money! I try to keep the shipping costs as low as possible - it's what's inside that counts, right? :)

I ship USPS and choose the 'best' or median option, meaning whichever is cheapest combined with the quickest, according to what you have paid for shipping. I want to save you money on shipping but we also know how hard it is to wait for an exciting package in the mail!

Example:
If I ship your item on a Monday and it can arrive to you on Thursday for $3.00 (Priority) or on Saturday for $2.80 (First Class) I would choose the Thursday option. If you're okay with waiting in order to save some change just let me know in the 'notes to seller' when purchasing that you would like the absolute cheapest option no matter how long the wait.

Generally packages wind up going out as FIRST CLASS.
If you have a shipping preference let me know before purchasing!
Also if you are interested in purchasing several items message me before purchasing and we can figure out the best shipping cost for combined shipping!

The shipping costs include a tracking/confirmation number for items shipped within the US which I will share with you once sent.
Refunds and Exchanges
I can ONLY offer refunds if an item is proven lost in the process of shipment.

Because everything I currently sell is vintage, each item is sold AS-IS!

NO returns allowed, NO refunds given for reasons such as wrong size, wrong color, not exactly what you thought it was, etc.

***In the case that a return/refund is processed the customer will be responsible for the cost of shipping the item back.***

(I can't stress enough for you to ask me ANYthing before purchasing an item to save yourself the trouble of potentially wanting to return!)

Overall we want your experience with us to be a lovely one! Please communicate as much as you need before, during or after a purchase. I am super easy to work with but I'm also not a fan of being ripped off so I have to be a mean little booger and set all of these policies in place. ;)
