Frequently asked questions
Can I change something about a styling package you offer? Fonts, etc?
Very likely, yes. The price will vary depending on what sort of customization you’re looking for. Convo me or click “request a custom order” near the top of my shop or any listing to get the ball rolling!
I've chosen a styling package, but I need something that's not listed in your shop. Can you help me?
Absolutely! Just let me know what you're after and I’ll set you up. Shoot me a message or request a custom order to get started.
Will my styling package be one-of-a-kind?
No. While your order will be uniquely personalized around your shop’s information, and no one else will have access to your specific files, multiples of each styling package will be sold. If you need one-of-a-kind work, custom development is the way to go.
If you’d like something more tailored, but fully-custom work is more of a financial investment than you can make at this time, you might consider adding a customization upgrade or two. Most styling packages can accommodate changes to typography (fonts), color, and graphic imagery. These sorts of changes are a pocketbook-friendly way to explore the middle ground between premade package affordability and custom order exclusivity. Prices start at $20. Convo me to discuss the possibilities!
Do you do custom work?
Yes! Convo me or click “request a custom order” to discuss your project.
Why don’t you include text or logos on your cover designs?
Simple answer: It won’t look good on all platforms.
Technical answer: Thoughtfully-considered covers look great at a range of sizes, and within the context of both desktop + mobile versions of your shop. A cover that's several inches tall on your computer will be less than an inch tall on your phone, which means that moderately-sized text on a desktop will render illegibly tiny on mobile. The mobile site also overlaps your shop’s profile and cover images slightly, further complicating layout considerations. Despite the undeniable appeal of text, I feel its inclusion in covers is generally shortsighted and based on an outdated understanding of the Etsy shop layout and the function its graphics serve, so I take a different approach.
What software do I need to edit vectors?
There are many options. I use Adobe Illustrator myself, but it's spendy. Inkscape is a well-reputed (and free!) alternative that runs on all operating systems.
