¡Hola! Me llamo Shelley y soy artista, profesora de arte y amante de los libros antiguos. Vivo en Los Ángeles. Mis diseños se inspiran en mi colección personal de libros antiguos de la década de 1920, la mayoría de los cuales pertenecieron a mis abuelos. De niña, atesoraba muchos de estos libros, ¡y me alegra muchísimo poder darles nueva vida a estas preciosas ilustraciones!
Crear cada diseño de exlibris suele ser un trabajo arduo: como mis libros antiguos están muy queridos, requieren bastante restauración. Cada ilustración vintage se escanea, limpia y realza cuidadosamente... y a veces se rediseña por completo para adaptarla al formato de exlibris. El resultado final es lo que ves en mi tienda: ¡preciosos diseños vintage, listos para tus libros!

Hello! My name is Shelley, and I am an artist, art teacher, and vintage book enthusiast living in Los Angeles. My designs come from my personal collection of vintage books from the 1920's, most of which belonged to my grandparents. I cherished many of the books when I was a child, and I am so happy to bring these gorgeous illustrations to life again!
Creating each bookplate design is often a lot of work: since my old books are well-loved, there is quite a bit of repairing to do. Each vintage illustration is carefully scanned, cleaned, and brightened up... then sometimes completely redesigned to fit a bookplate format. The end product is what you see in my shop: beautiful vintage designs, waiting for your books!
